Hunter or Prey?

Chapter 14

I sighed in disappointment thinking I knew I shouldn't have expected to sleep in with two little kids...... well actually they were 13 while I was 15..... I think Kurapika was like 16....

(A.N. I know those aren't their real ages but its my fanfic so yeah..... anyway.)

"Mara! Mara! Mara!" Gon and Killua kept jumping on my bed and shouting my name at the same time.

"Uh.. I'm up I'm up now what do you want." I sat up with my messy bun and tank top. I could've swore I saw Killua blush, but its to early in the morning.

"I made breakfast!" Gon said brightly as I realized a weird smell drifting to my nose.

"Uh what did ya make?"

"Scrambled eggs!"

Alright I know that that scent was NOT scrambled eggs. I pushed the sheets away from me and got out of my bed and walked to the kitchen in my short shorts. Then I saw the smoke and smelt alot of salt.... For someone who had such good senses he was really blinded on this one.

"Um..... how about I make breakfast and you guys can clean up...."

"Okay!" They yelled and starting cleaning. I got out the supplies and began to make breakfast.

I ended up making pancakes with bacon and toast.... Gon used all the eggs....

We all ate for about 2 min in silence til Gon said something.

"Kurapika said he was coming tomorrow!"

"Whatever...." Killua stated as he took a bit of toast.

I sighed as I put my dishes in the sink and walked back into my room. I decided to explore the city today so I got dress in my usual outfit and did my hair in a ponytail. I walked out with my skateboard that I had folded (yes it can do that) in my suitcase.

"Where are you going?" Killua asked from I front of the tv.

"Exploring see ya." I walked out the door and into the street. I slipped my headphones on as it began to blast 'stereo heart'. I then started skating down the street avoiding the people walking.

I got to a park with a concrete square so I just started riding random patterns getting lost in my thoughts..... 'why exactly was Kurapika coming for me of all reasons....'

I got so lost in my thoughts I didn't realize I started riding on the sidewalk and was about to hit someone. I snapped out of my thoughts, but it was too late for him to move and for me to change my route. I gripped my skateboard and leaped. I was still in the crouched position with my skateboard as I flipped over him and landed. I slowed down and stopped looking back at the man.

He looked kinda like Gon with fierce hazel eyes and black hair, but he was wearing a hat and cloak...... he looked really familiar though......

"Hey kid! Where'd you learn to do that move?" He asked and sounded kinda playful.

"Um.. no where.... I taught myself just now I guess..." I answered back noticing he was kinda looking at me like he was studying me.

"What's your name?"

"Mara."

"Mara what?"

Just then it dawned on me....... I don't know my last name.....

"I.... I don't know my last name..... my family was killed when I was little so I guess I never learned it...."

"Hm......" I think he muttered something to himself, but I didn't say anything. "Do you think I could talk to you some more?"
