Hunter or Prey?

Chapter 11

Everything was frozen until Neons dad yelled again.

"Who's responsible for this?!" His voice boomed. Everything was still until I stood up.

"It was me." I stated as everyone gave me a nervous glance.

"Come with me!" He stomped to his office as I followed. I looked back at everyone one more time. Neon and Kurapika looked the most worried. I walked into the office and closed the door after I stepped in.

I walked to the seat in front of his desk and wanted so badly to hide.... He was a little scary like this.

"What exactly was the meaning of having a food fight?!"

"U-um.... It's just... I've never done it before and well...... I just thought I'd give it a shot... I guess..."

"This is the kind of behaviors that I don't want my daughter to become."

"Excuse me?" I think he just freaking insulted me.

"My daughter needs to be a civilized respectful young lady and you're....... well not any of those things."

"Well excuse me for having a freaking background that isn't exactly called a great one." I stood up and slammed my hands on the desk. "And you know what? I'm sure that Neon has had a blast every since I became her body guard. Shes an amazing girl that deserves to let loose and have fun every once in a while."

"If you take that tone against me you're boss again-" I cut his sentence off.

"Don't worry you won't cause I feeling quit you freaking stingy boss man!" I turned around and slammed open the door startling everyone outside it.

I stomped to my bedroom and pulled out my neon green suitcase stuffing my clothes and everything else in it.

"Mara? What are you doing?" I turned and faced Kurapika and felt a pang of pain in my heart.

"I quit."

"You what?"

"I quit."

"Why would you do that?"

"I got mad." I zipped up my suitcase and was about to walk out my door, but Kurapika put his hand I front of me. "Move your hand Kurapika."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No Mara. Are you really expecting to leave this room before saying goodbye."

I looked at him and wrapped my arms around his neck. He then wrapped his arms around me in a hug. He was so warm. I was suddenly feeling regret at quitting. We stopped hugging and then I walked out the door with my suitcase. I hugged Neon and Melody. I high five Basho then walked out the front door and onto the street. I slipped my headphones on listening to 'Hey Brother' by Avicii. I kept walking down the street wondering where in the world I was gonna go. I sat on a park bench and sighed.

Then I remembered that I meet someone and got his phone number. I pulled out my phone and went through my contacts finding his number. I held the phone to my ear listening to the ringing.

"Hello?" Once I heard his voice I sighed with relief. If he didn't answer I don't know what I'd do.

"Hey. It's Mara. I kinda need a place to crash for a little bit. I can explain when I see you."

"Alright. I'll txt you the address I'm staying at right now, but there is one of my friends staying with me too."

"Okay. Thxs I owe you one."

"No problem. Bye."

"Bye." I hung up and looked at my txts to get the address. Looks like I was gonna be using air for this...

I sighed and walked to somewhere no one was. I unlocked 2 out of 3 of her locks so she won't go crazy and start beating everyone up. My eyes and the end of my hair turned grey allowing me to control the wind just with out all the power.

I pushed myself off the ground while holding my suitcase and started flying towards the city.

I landed in a tree so no one would see me and locked air back up in her cell. I climbed down and looked around trying to find my way to my friends place. I sighed in defeat so I walked up to a girl that looked about my age with bleach blond hair and sparkling blue eyes. She also had on a pink frilly dress, but whatever.

"Hello." she turned towards me and smiled a blinding smile. No joke I couldn't see for a little bit.

"Hi!"

"I was wondering if you could show me in the direction of this address." I showed her the txt I got.

"I can! It is that way!" She pointed me towards the right.

"Thxs." I started to walk the way the girl pointed and eventually found the way. It was and apartment building it looks like, except each floor was its own room. It had to be 100 floors tall! Anyway I walked through the front door and into the lobby.

"Hello. May I help you young lady?" I turned to the deep voice and saw a man with dark skin and short black hair. He wore a red bellhop outfit.

"Yeah. I was coming to visit a friend and he told me that his room was number 54 in this building."

"Ah yes. He did warn me someone was coming to see him and his friend. Here is an extra key to the floor. Just press number 54 on the elevator." He stated as he handed me the key.

"Thxs." I took the key and walked to the elevator seeing all 100 of the buttons. I pressed 54 and the elevator zoomed up.

The elevator door opened showing a maple door with a key hole. I slipped in the key I go from the man and walked through the door to see it look kinda more casual than I thought.

The floor was a dark brown wood with a white coach and two white seats set up in front of a huge tv. the back wall behind the tv was completely a window that looked down on the city next to the other three walls which were painted a dull green. A blue rug was also underneath the couches.

I looked to the left and saw the place that was separated off as the kitchen. It had a grey tiling along with a grey marble on the counters and island. The cabinets were a light brown.

I turned when I saw one of the three doors open. In walked a boy younger than me with white hair and pale skin wearing a purple tank top and white shorts with purple shoes. His blue eyes widened when he saw me and he began to smile.

"Mara!" he ran towards me and gave me a hug.

"Hey Killua." I laughed as I returned the hug.

"So why did you need to stay here for a while?"

"I um.. kinda...... quit my job.." I scratched the back of my neck as I explained then told him that the boss insulted me so I left.

"Well... okay then. Your room is that one." He pointed to the room opposite of what he just came out of. "that one is mine and Gons. We're just gonna share. It had two beds anyway." He pointed to the room he emerged from. "And that is the bathroom." He pointed to the last door. "Gon went out to buy some food so he's not here right now."

"Okay." I walked into my room for the time being and unpacked the few things I had. I walked out and saw Killua playing Call of Duty of the tv. I kinda giggled as he nonchalantly looked over at me while shooting a guy in the face.

"Wanna play with me Mara?"

"Maybe next time. This time I think I'll just watch." I sat next to him as he nodded.

Alright guys from here on out it is my own plot with the hunter c hunter characters.

Remember I do not own them I only own Mara.

Anyway I'm kinda getting a writers block so could u guys comment some ideas??
