The One With the Space Mission

Delta' s POV:

At the end of second period, the six of us met at the bottom of the stairs.

"I love history class!" Adam exclaimed. "Someone is always leaving me a piece of gum stuck under my desk."

I slowly turned toward him.

"Adam... please tell me you didn't."

He answered by blowing a bright pink bubble.

"Yep," Bree sighed. "He totally did."

I pinched the bridge of my nose.

Dating Adam was never boring.

Note to self: don't kiss him until he's brushed his teeth...twice.

Leo suddenly looked in the opposite direction of us.

"Oh, guys don't look now, but here comes that guy none of us like."

Zadie was the only one who actually looked.

"M-Dawg!" Adam, Bree, Chase and I called in unison.

"Hold the phone. Hold the phone. Hold the freaky deaky phone."

Leo looked at each of us.

"'M-Dawg'?"

"Yeah," Chase shrugged. "Bros call each other by nicknames."

"Well, I'm your actual bro and you don't call me by a nickname."

"Actually we do," Adam replied. "We just choose not to do it in your presence...Mr. Tiny-McLittlestein."

Marcus finally reached us.

"Hey, Marcus," Chase greeted, "what are you up to this weekend?"

"Oh, my dad's out of town and I'll be stuck home alone with my grandma."

Leo immediately pointed at him.

"Aha! You said your grandma died."

"The other grandma...but thanks for reminding me."

Marcus sighed loudly.

"I wish I could stay with you guys for the weekend."

"And I wish you weren't a spastic sociopath with abandonment issues," Leo stepped forward.

"Leo," Chase warned, gently pulling him back before he got in Marcus's face. "Relax."

"Chase, none of us are safe until the FBI gets back to my background check on this 'M-Dawg.'" Leo insisted.

He shot me a look.

"Wait..." I realized, "have you been emailing my dad?"

Leo stiffened.

"My sources are confidential."

"Look," Chase said, "I'm sure you can stay with us. I just have to check with Mr. Davenport."

"You call your dad Mr. Davenport?"

Chase froze.

"Uh...no." He let out an awkward laugh. "But you do. And I wanted to make sure you knew who I was talking about."

Marcus nodded, "Okay, cool."

He smiled.

"Thanks, guys."

As soon as he walked off, a football went flying across the room.

It was headed straight for Zadie's face.
