The One With the Dates

Delta's POV:
I walked over to the Davenport's like usual. No surprise there. It was Saturday so I was coming over here tonight anyway, but I had left my phone here last night. I walked in and went down to the lab.

"Oh, Delta." Chase said as soon as I got down there.

"Yes...?" I asked, arching an eyebrow.

"So, I need to talk to someone who's close to Zadie, but someone who's not in my family."

"Oh crap. What has she done now?" I asked, whispering the next question. "Does this need to be reported?" He gave me a confused look.

"What? No. It's nothing she did. I just...I don't exactly know how to say this..." He trailed off.

"Oh, I see what's going on." I smirked.

"You do?"

"Yeah. You like Zadie!"

"What? No. Yes. I mean, I don't know." He said, flustered. "I always get all flustered when she walks into the room and I have the sudden urge to tell her I like her."

"Dude, it's alright." I laughed. "I think you have a good shot with her."

"I don't know, Del. I think she sees me as just a friend. I mean, her and I have a handshake; I don't think couples have handshakes."

"Listen, she might act like she wants to be just your friend, but in reality, she really likes you. I don't know how you haven't picked up on it. I mean she openly flirts with you." I told him. "So just be yourself and stay calm. Be comfortable with her. Trust me, if you're nervous around her, she'll make it awkward."

"Thanks Delta."

"Anytime." I said. "Also, have you seen my phone?"

"Uh no, maybe you should ask Adam. He's always picking up things off the floor." Chase said, leaving as Adam walked in.

"Delta! You left your phone here last night. I picked it up off the floor for you." He said, handing me my phone.

"Aw, thanks Adam." I said, smiling.

"Uh, Delta. I was gonna ask you something."

"Yeah Adam?"

"Would you-um-haha...would you...oh gosh...I practiced it all morning in the shower. You were my shampoo bottle."He said.

"Yes...?" I laughed at how adorable he was.

"Would you go-on-a-date-with-me-tonight?" He slurred.

"Would I what?" I joked.

"You heard me, would you go on a date with me tonight?" He asked, calmer.

"Of course I will, Adam. I've been dying for you to ask me." I told him.

"Really?" He asked in excitement.

"Yes. I really like you, Adam."

"I really like you too, Deli." He said. "So, I'll pick you up at 7?"
