Zadie's POV:

Delta and I met up the next morning to say our goodbyes to the Davenport siblings. I was surprisingly pretty sad about it all. I'd known 'em for a day, but it felt like we'd make a pretty good group of friends.

Tasha greeted us at the door with a warm, familiar smile. "Hey girls, they're downstairs."

As we went down into the lab, it was clear that things were still a bit chaotic. Chase was frantically shoving office supplies into a bin, his movements quick and slightly frantic.

Delta raised an eyebrow, "What are you doing?" She asked.

"If Davenport's gonna ship us off to some remote facility, the office supplies is coming with us." He said, tossing a stapler into the box.

Bree rolled her eyes at her brother, sighing, "We just got out first taste of normal life; I was this close to getting a curfew which I was totally gonna break."

"Ooh, maybe when we get to wherever we're going, we will meet a sassy lab chimp name Bobo who will take us on adventures and teach us how to love." Adam fantasized as he sat back relaxed in a chair, eating a snack.

"Or maybe you'll make him angry and he will maul you and snack on your fingers." Chase shrugged, sitting on the center desk.

"Hey, I'm the one that comes up with the monkey fantasies around here!" Adam defended.

Eddy appeared on the screen. His voice irritating as ever. "Well kids, I hope you have enjoyed your stray here at casa-Davenport; I know I haven't," he said.

"Eddy, I know we haven't been the best of friends, but we're gonna miss you." Bree said, sincerely.

"Awe, really?" Eddy asked.

"No!" Bree yelled.

"We hate you!" Adam agreed with Bree.

"You're evil!" Chase added.

I huffed, "Where is this training facility anyway?"

"Facility X? Oh, it's all the rage." Eddy stated, before showing a picture of a nice tropical island.

Delta shrugged, "That doesn't look too bad." The rest of us agreed with her.

"Oops, sorry, that's my screensaver; you're actually going here," Eddy said, pulling up a picture of a cold, metal building in the middle of Antarctica.

"Forget the office supplies," Chase eyed the screen, "We should be gathering firewood."

"Man, I wish I hadn't thrown that party," Leo said with a sigh. "I feel like this is all my fault."

"Aw, that's because it is all your fault." Adam put his hands on Leo's shoulders.

Bree stepped in, defending Leo, "Adam, he was only trying to help us."

"Well, yeah, but he did the exact opposite, which was not help us; and 'not help us' is basically the opposite of what we needed," Adam explained. "I'm just so bummed; this is the only place we've ever known."

"We can't let Davenport send you guys away. Let the three of us talk to him; no one can say no to this million-dollar smile or..." Leo grinned, "Or, well, girl tears."

I crossed my arms over my chest, "Excuse me?"

"Come again?" Delta added.

Leo motioned to Adam, Bree, and Chase's sad faces.

"It's worth a shot."

-Upstairs-

The three of us walked out of the elevator with our heads hung low.
