Third person POV:

Zadie woke up to Delta tapping her.

"Z, wake up." She looked at her clock sitting on her nightstand. 7:43.

"Deli, you better have a real good reason for waking me up this early on summer vacation. Not cool bro."

"I made breakfast."

"Okay that's a pretty good reason." Zadie decided to get up and go downstairs to see what Deli had prepared. Two bowls of cereal. "I'm going to hurt you if this is what you call breakfast."

"Yep. I thought we could go on an early morning run before we went to the Davenport's."

"Do you know who you're talking to? You just suggested a run to Zadie Wesley." She informed.

"Come on, it'll be fun. Plus, it'll give us time to talk."

"Talk about what? I swear if you're dragging me on a run to tell me you're pregnant-"

"Zadie, I'm not pregnant." Delta paused for a moment. "You really thought that's why I wanted to go on a run with you?"

"Who knows why you wanted to ho on a run with me."

"Eat your cereal." Delta glared. Zadie threw her hands up in surrender and began eating her Honey Nut Cheerios. Once they were finished, Zadie changed into a white Nike tank top with black Nike gym shorts, and Nike tennis shoes. Delta was wearing something similar except Adidas brand.

"Let's get this over with." Zadie sulked.

The two started out with their run, exiting their neighborhood. Delta had planned for the two to jog to the pier that was a little less than a mile away.

"You know what I miss?" Delta began.

"Air conditioning?"

"No, going to the beach with you, Leo, Tasha, and our siblings."

"Ha ha, oh yeah. We would always have the best times. Like when we went surfing that time and Leo fell off his board and got stung by a jellyfish. Good times."

"We have different definitions of 'good times'" Delta remarked.

"I'm just kidding." Zadie said before perking up again. "Hey! You know what would be fun?"

"What?"

"Going to the beach with the Davenport's." Zadie winked.

"Better than mission suits." Delta winked back.

"Much better than mission suits." Zadie laughed. "How much longer until we can turn around and have actual food?"

"About ten more minutes." Delta answered. About ten minutes, maybe closer to fifteen. the two arrived to the pier that overlooked one of many gorgeous beaches. The sun was already high and warming the white sand. Surfers were going out on the water and some were already coming back after a long morning of trying to catch a good wave. Zadie and Delta just stared, enjoying the warm sun that was shining on them from the pier.

"Enjoy the run?"

"Not getting here, but this is pretty nice, Deli."

"We'd better head back. Maybe we could start doing this more often?"

"Only if we could take a golf cart instead."

"What about golf cart every other time?"

"Deal."

The two headed back to the Davenport's and Zadie browsed on in. Tasha was in the kitchen preparing lemonade.

"Hey guys." Tasha greeted the girls.
