Chapter 15- Wishing

As I drive home I realize I am in a good mood but I try not to let it get out of hand cause I know that Burt will probarly take my happiness from me.

When I reach home I hear Amy and Burt whispering in the kitchen so I decide to go listen in.

As I lean against the wall closest to the kitchen but all so a way they won't see me I hear Amy say

"She asked me about it one day when we were having dinner."

Burt grunts and answers "what did you say and do."

"Well I kinda stood there shocked but then I told her I didn't know." Amy says back looking worried

"You have to be more careful or she will find out." Burt says

Find out what, I want to scream but I know better, way better.

I walk back to the front door and open and close it back, pretending to just come home so they won't suspect anything.

I walk to the kitchen and I say "Hi mom and dad."

"Hello Blare." Amy says with a small smile

"Go make dinner." Burt says to me and of course he would be the one to drain the slightest niceness I was still using toward them.

"Yes sir." I mutter

"What was that!" Burt says raising his voice

"Yes sir." I say a lot louder.

Once I finished dinner I headed up stairs and checks my phone. looks like I got a text from Zoey and Emily on one of are group texts.

Z- are you ok!?

E-yeah we saw you faint well everybody did but still are u ok?!

B-lol i'm fine guys I have been through worse

Z-is Blson ok?

E-what!!

Z-what I am trying to say is Blare and Jason's relationship ok

E-you could have just said that

Z-yea I know but saying Blson is more fun

B- lol Zo but yes Blson is ok

Z-few good even though I might have almost punched Jason in gym if it wasn't for Em

B-lol what happened?!

E-let's just say Zo was charging toward Jason when I got up and held her back

B-lol u were going to punch my boyfriend

Z-hey can you blame me

E- lol Zo

B- lol gtg guys c u tomorrow

E-bye c u tomorrow

Z-bye c u too tomorrow

I put my phone down and laugh at my crazy but awesome friends.

Since I have nothing else to do I decide to do some research on the Crothers.

As I am search I come across the same article about the presidents daughter that me and Jason found in the library so I decide to read it cause it's kinda weird 2 kids kidnapped at about the same time.

Turns out the presidents daughter was 12 to,weird. All of a sudden I hear foot steps heading to my room so I immediately close my laptop and I grab a piece of paper and a pen and start writing down random stuff. Then my food opens and none other then Burt is standing there.

"What are you doing." Burt asks me in a harsh way

"Just doing some homework." I say praying he won't know I'm lying. Apparently it must have been believable cause Burt just tells me to go to bed.

Before I jump in bed I see a shooting star so I make a wish.

"I wish I could figure out this whole confusing mess and maybe my life may get a little better." I whisper to myself

As I climb in bed I can't help but smile cause I have a feeling something big will happen soon.
