Being the new girl

First day over?

I was walking home with Mia and Amber as they live not far from me. Words just flowed easily when I'm around these and I feel like I belong. But they should know about Millie and Hannah right? "Guys do you mind if I explain something about my old friends? I'm not trying to brag but I want to be able to talk about something...sorry that sounds so selfish!" Mia looked at me and smiled
"Katie, you can talk to us about anything! We are all friends after all...plus we have a question for you. Hehe"
"Erm, now you've got me scared. Well my old friends, Millie and Hannah, treated me like dirt. They were the most popular girls in our school, and I was just their 'backup girl' I tagged along with everything they did and I did all of their dirty work. In all honesty I didn't see how bad it was because I was in my own world. That's why I was so scared about making new friends!"
"Awe Katie, that's unbelievable. You're such a kind, caring girl. And I know I love you, even if I have only known you for a few hours." I felt so honoured to have such amazing friends! Maybe all you do have to do is believe....I wonder what her question was though.
As I walked through my front door, Em ran up to me and gave me a huge hug. She is 11 now and has moved to a new school too. Anyway, she dragged me into the kitchen where mum greeted me. "Hi darling, how was school? Did you make any friends? Was anyone mean to you?"
"Hi mum, school was great actually! I made a few friends and they are so nice..." I trailed off after that. Thinking about what Millie and Hannah would say if they could hear me now. "Anyway sweetie, I'm glad you made friends but I have a surprise for you..." I spun around to face the door. I could not believe my eyes...
"Hey girlie! Did you miss us?" MILLIE AND HANNAH ARE IN MY HOUSE! Back in Cheadle, they never came to my house...for obvious reasons, I mean looking back we weren't actually friends. "Heyy...Girls. what and why are you here?"
"Nice to see you too! Anyway we wanted to check up on you. My sister goes to fallwood too so I asked her to keep an eye on you. And it appears you have a lot to tell me...us." Hannah blurted out. Great, I am now being spied on. Of course Hannah would get her sister to spy on me! "Um, actually I don't. Now could you please leave my house. I want nothing to do with you or your bitchy schemes ever again!" They looked stunned, I was stunned. Did I actually just said that to them. "Fine bitch, if that's how you feel. Remember exactly how much we've done for you and how much of a hell we can make your life. You've seen us in action so watch your back babes."
"See if I actually care, now you can see yourself out of the door." I turned back around to see mum looking awestruck. Why did she even invite them? I know I said they were my life this morning but my whole life has changed since then! Awe I wish I had the girls numbers from school. I could really use their help right now.
"Sweetie, why did you do that? I thought Millie and Hannah are you're closest friends...you said as much this morning."
"Yeah I know, and I thought I meant it until I started school. And, um....ugh I'm going to bed. See you in the morning mum."
"Oh ok, night darling."
I had to leave asap. I didn't want to argue with mum, I know she was just trying to cheer me up....
