Is everything OK?

Monday. The first day of a long week. Art is my first class today so I have 50 minutes of...how do I put this? Well it was interesting.
"How's James?" I started giggling slightly, Mia seemed to be smiling to but it was hard to tell whether it was genuine or she was plotting my death silently. Either way, this would be interesting. "I hate you," defiantly planning my death then haha "I don't even know, we can't talk to each other. I want to but..."
"Yeah ik how you feel. Just sing him that song you wrote the other day. You got this girl!"
Mia smiled and hugged me before we started painting. Thank God art is one of my strong points otherwise it would have been extremely embarrassing. As if on cue, Rhys turned up next to me "Hey Katie, how are you?"
"I'm good thanks, you"
"Yeah I'm ok. Listen I was just wondering if you fancied meeting me at the back field at lunch?"
"Um, yeah sure. I don't think me and the girls are doing anything later, so I should be able to get away."
"Great! It's a date...Er, I didn't."
"Hehe, it's fine." We got back to painting quickly after and I got engrossed in a conversation with Mia and Leila (Leila has just been transferred to our class and she seems really nice). Mia was sort of looking forlornly at me, I presumed it was about James. I hope she takes my advice.
The bell rang to signal the end of first period, I had science next...James and Rhys are in my class so I should be able to sort something out. Rhys and James are good friends, well except when Rhys' mate Josh is around. He is a right idiot and I can't stand him, he had a crush on Grace at the beginning of the year so didn't leave the girls alone. He reckons he's so hard when in fact....he's not. Rhys always hangs around with him when he's in, and the things they do aren't pretty.
As I took my seat, James started walking towards me. Perfect, this should be easier than I thought.
"Alright class, take your seats. We have an exciting exam today so exam conditions the whole 40 remaining minuites" Miss Sett softly announced. Well maybe this might be harder than I thought. 40 minutes quickly went by though and soon class was over. I raced out of the door to try and catch James before he left. "Hey James, wait up!" I shouted, hoping he could hear me. He did. "Katie right? Your the new girl and friends with the semi popular girls"
"I'm not that new....well I joined at the beginning of last week and I love the girls for who they are not their popularity. Thank you!"
"Oh sorry." James spoke so bluntly.
"It's fine, I just wanted to tell you that Rhys wants to talk to you in the music room now."
I need to inform Rhys of my plan.
"Um, Sure ok."
"Great thanks!"
Well that was one down....now to find Mia.
"Hey Amber, have you..." Amber was siting on a bench crying, I don't know what's happened but it must be bad.
"Hey girl, what's up?"
"D...D...Dan"
"What on earth has he done now. You're way to good for him."
"I get told that everyday. He's transferring schools....he's moving to Cheadle High."
"Wait...that's my old school. Awe Amber I know you'll miss him, but maybe it's for the best right? Now I'm sorry to ask, but I need you to help me find Mia."
"I saw her going to the locker room."
"Ok thanks. You coming?"
"I'll be there in a sec, I'm just going to go refresh myself up a bit."
"Alright. Hey, don't beat yourself up about it!"
"I'll try, thanks Katie."
I raced off to the locker room to try and catch Mia, but before I could. It appears I have an obstacle.
"WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING? HOW COULD YOU?!"

What do you thinks happened and will Mia make it to the music room? I wonder if she will play James her song she wrote for him. Well you'll have to wait a bit longer to find out what happens. Hope you're enjoying the story so far though xo
