I'm a cheat?

I spun around to see Mia and Aimee glaring at me. Rhys stood behind them, these people are not who I class as my friends.
"Alfie, Kenna, let's go. There's nothing to see here."
Alfie grasped my hand and I looked confused towards him, he looked at the floor. Kenna linked arms with me and we walked off to the field. My safe place.
"Katie, what was that all about?"
"I have no idea. They've been really distant over the past few days and won't tell me why..."
Before I could finish, Alfie lent in and kissed me,
"Alfie...what..."
"Shh" I had no idea he felt this way but I wasn't about to cheat on Rhys, no matter how much I hate him at the moment. Consequently, I pulled away and stepped backwards.
"I'm s-sorry....you know I'm with Rhys. Even if frankly I don't want to be. I'm not a cheat."
I lent in and kissed his cheek, Kenna rolled her eyes. Oh and guess what. They're twins! I honestly had no idea.
"Really Katie?!"
"I really like you too Alfie but..."
"WHAT?????"
Oh no. Rhys stood in front of me, fury filled in his eyes. He raised his fist and for a moment I thought he was going to punch me. He didn't. I stormed off before anything else could happen and ran into the locker room...and what do you know. I walked in on Mia and James having a session.
"I'm sorry. I'll go..."
"Wait Katie. We need to talk, please."
"You were the ones who shut me out, not the other way round."
"I know and we're sorry but please listen," I took a seat and allowed her to talk. "We wanted to surprise you for your birthday. But you took it the wrong way and as we couldn't tell you we had to roll with it...we are so sorry."
I went up to her and gave her a hug, out of the corner of my eye I could see Aimee, Leila and Grace hid in the shower room. I didn't ask. I walked back out to try and find Kenna, as if on cue her...and Rhys appeared.
"You cheat!"
"I'm sorry, I had too..."
