I stared at Kenna in complete disbelief. She betrayed my trust, we are supposed to be best friends. Well after Mia, Amber, Aimee and Grace betrayed me, clearly it catches on. I need to seriously rethink who I trust. Tears streamed down my face and Rhys started mocking me,
"Ha you have no right to cry. This is all your fault!"
Kenna laced her fingers with Rhys and kissed his cheek...and I'm the cheat?! Yeah right! I ran home to talk to Mum, she usually knows how to cheer me up.
"Sweetie, I honestly don't know who's in the wrong. You did kiss this Alfie first right? And Rhys saw you..."
"Thanks Mum but it sounds like you're saying this is all my fault."
"Look darling, it's Christmas eve tomorrow. Please just leave this till the new year. You have three weeks off!"
"Fine, best start to christmas ever...not!"
The front door slammed shut, and a voice echoed down the hall.
"And that's my cue to leave. I'll get a snack later Mum, I don't fancy any dinner."
I ran upstairs and bumped into Emily on my way up sending her tumbling backwards and hitting her head.
"Oh goodness, Em. Are you Ok? I'm so sorry. Emily talk to me!"
"Katie, what was that bang?!"
"I tripped over Mum, I'm fine!"
Emily sat up slowly and rubbed the back of her head. She got up and walked into her room and slammed the door. It's at this point that I wish I was back at Cheadle. I'm normally so excited for Christmas and my Mum and sister can never shut me up, but after everything with my friends, my boyfriend, Jake, Alfie, Kenna, etc I have nothing to be excited for. I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep, fully dressed. At about 2AM, I was awoke by my phone ringing. I turned over and saw Rhys' name flashing, I answered it, not really knowing what I was doing.
"Hello? Katie, you there?"
"Yeah..."
"Look, we need to talk. You me, Aimee, Mia, Grace and Amber. My mates are coming too. Kenna And Alfie aren't a part of this."
I flinched when he said their names, they aren't exactly my favourite people right now.
"Sure, where should we meet?"
"Mia's house in 15."
"Ok, see ya."
I hung up and dragged myself out of bed. I creeped quietly over to my wardrobe and changed. I shrugged my cosy jacket on and crept out of the door. My phone beeped, oh no. This is NOT good...
