"AMBER WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" It appears she has company...
"Katie...I, it's not what it seems. Josh was just comforting me, he saw I was upset and chased me in here..."
"Yeah and then ended up with his lips attached to you. I came in here to tell you that Dans broke up with you. But it appears that doesn't effect you anymore."
Amber went silent after that and I ran out of the room. There was no way I am going to do double netball with her now. As I walked out I bumped into Aimee and Ross holding hands and walking to the locker rooms. Ugh, I can't take anymore couple drama right now. Aimee could tell, "Hey girl....is everything Ok?"
I couldn't look her in the eye and just pushed past her and out into the yard. I ran to the back of the field and into the forest, it was the only safe place I knew and was out of sight. "Katie is that you?"
I spun around to see Rhys...in my area. Well great minds think alike.
"Oh hey Rhys. Tell your idiot of a friend to back off of my friends please!" I burst out crying for the second time today, I just can't handle school anymore. Rhys engulfed me in a hug and tried to reassure me everything was ok. "Katie, it's all right. Hey we can do our date now, that might cheer you up." He stopped to think for a second then carried on, "Wait shouldn't you be in PE?"
"I can't handle it, and anyway you can't talk. You should be too!"
"Fair point, come sit down."
He grabbed my hands and pulled me to a bench, he slowly lent in and kissed me again, this time it was only gently. It still made a difference. "I love you Katie." It took me by surprise at first, but then I realised "I love you too." I lent on his shoulder and we just sat there enjoying each others company.
Later on I rejoined with the girls but stayed quiet, Amber was with us but I didn't talk to her. The tension was so thick, you'd need an axe to break it.
Back in the music room, Mia went in and sat beneath the microphone stand. Behind her stood James, he didn't say anything and just waited for her to notice him.  (you may be wondering how I know this, well you see I was there. Sitting behind the piano) James wasn't silent enough and walked into the drum kit. Mia spun around in surprise and stared at him. "Oh hey, Katie told me Grace was in here."
"Oh she told me Rhys was." Hehe my plan was working.
"She told me she wanted us to talk...I ugh."
"Mia I really like you..."
Mia froze and didn't say anything except, "I really like...Pizza. Sorry that came out all wrong."
Mia started going bright red and James burst out laughing. "I meant I really like you too." James stopped her there as he lent in too kiss her, awe it was so romantic. "AWE MIA HAD HER FIRST KISS!" Oops...I blew my cover. Mia spun around and started smirking at me. "KATIE?! I knew you had something to do with this!"
"Yeah and that's a good thing because now you're dating. Awe Jia...hehe"
"Seriously?"
"Oh Mia pleaseeeee sing your song to James....it's about you." James looked so smitten it was sweet. Mia looked slightly embarrassed but did it anyway. She took a deep breath and started singing the words. Selfconsiously at first, but then she got into it and it was beautiful. I love hearing her sing and so did James. When she finished, James kissed her again and asked me to give them some alone time.
I left them too it and went to find Grace and Aimee. I feel too awkward around Amber, why would she do that? Well at least Dad's home tonight...
