"Katie you have some visiters."
I craned my head slightly to see who it was. Shit.
"Hey Kitty cat, me and Mia thought we'd come see how you are..."
Mia and Jake were standing hand in hand in my doorway. Mum saw my expression and said,
"Ok I'll leave you to it, Evie you coming?"
She looked pleadingly at my sister who I begged to stay.
"I'll be there in a sec mum."
Her gaze travelled back to Mia and Jake.
"Hi hun, I hear you already have a boyfriend....James isn't it?"
"Um is it any of your business? Anyway who are you?"
"Haha I think you'll find it is when my little sister is concerned."
Mia turned to me,
"I didn't know you have an older sister."
"She's never normally around and you never asked."
Mia stared at the floor then and Jake spoke.
"Alright kitty cat. Mia can make her own choices."
"NO! Katie you need to tell her the truth now!"
"I can't, I just...can't"
Tears started rolling down my cheeks. I'd never be able to put what he did to me into words, just never and in all honesty neither could Evie. Jake glared at me with evil screaming from his eyes.
"Why are you even here Jake? Get lost now or else! I mean it! Mia I need to talk to you..."
Jake stormed off and slammed my front door with fury.
"Mia wtf are you doing????"
"I...I...he, said things to me, about me and said if I didn't do the things he said he'd tell everyone and hurt people close to me. Katie I'm so scared."
The thing is he did the same to me, but I didn't listen to him and he kept his word...he poisoned my little brother. And tried to kill my boyfriend.
"Like I said he's a snake, he did the same to me. Look I'll come in school tomorrow and we can go and speak to Mr Leiston, he will then get a permanent exclusion and can't come back."
"Ok, don't come in if the doctor says so though, please not for me."
"Look I'm allowed. You go home and try and sleep, I'll see you tomorrow."
As the sun rose the next day, I knew what I had to do. Amber knew him from years ago so she will know too. I need to call her and Rhys and tell them asap.
I walked through the school gates trying to ignore everyone's stares...again. I really need to know what people are saying about me and apparently Mia.
"Oh look it's Katie, where's Mia? We hear you've done a bad thing."
It was Caitlin, she erupted in laughter then walked off. Rhys walked towards me looking quite worried,
"Is it true, the things they're saying?"
"I don't even know what's going on..."
"Well, the thing is. Caitlin has been going round saying...."
