We Used to be Friends (Kurtcedes)

"Brat."

"Too gay to think."

"Weave."

"Girly voice."

"ENOUGH!!" Mr. Schue yelled at the pair.

Everyone looked from Mr. Schue then back to the pair that was fighting. Kurt and Mercedes were having their usual Wednesday after school glee club fights, no one really knows what happened between the two, they used to be the best of friends but now they were at each other's throats 24/7.

"I'm sick of both of you fighting all the time," Mr. Shue lectured, "So here's what's going to happen. For the rest of the week you are going to spend the whole Glee period together doing team building exercises."

Both were about to open their mouths to protest, "Say one word and I'll make it all of next week too." The vest wearing teacher warned.

The two just settled for glaring at one another from across the room.

Walking into glee club the next day,  Kurt and Mercedes were the last ones there, ironically, the only two seats available were next to each other in the front row.

Not speaking they both sat down, Kurt crosses his legs and arms while Mercedes kept her gaze toward the front of the room. The rest of the glee club gave each other nervous glances, they haven't been this close to each other in months.

Walking in and clapping his hands Mr. Schue announced, "Kurt, Mercedes, today your team building exercise is... shopping!!!"

Kurt perked up at the mention of shopping, "Mr. Shuester, you're telling me that instead of listening to Rachel babble on and on about having a solo," Rachel gave him a look but he ignored it. "Your saying I get to go shopping?!"

"Um, I guess so Kurt. But you need to go with Mercedes."

Kurt, having a huge smile on his face, leaped from his chair and grabbed Mercedes by the arm, leading her toward the student parking lot and to the mall.

"Mr. Shue, what happens if they kill each other?" Finn asked.

"They won't, I'm sure of it." Mr. Shue told the class with a knowing look on his face.

Needless to say, the next day there arms were hooked and instead of glaring at each other they couldn't stop smiling.
