prompt: Klaine and their daughter, Courage (INeedsABlaineWarbler 's OC, or herself ig, lmao) deal with the wonderful thing that is puberty for their now 13-year old kid. oh boy won't this be fun!

"It's getting late to give you up, I took a sip from my devils cup, slowly it's taking over me." Blaine sang into his battered covered whisk as he danced around the kitchen with a bowl in his hands, mixing to the beat of the song.

As he bopped his head along and prepared for the next set of lyrics, he pre heat the oven and mixed the batter once more for good measure before putting it all in a cake pan. Shifting it so the air bubbles got out.

"Too high, can't come down. It's in the air and it's all around. Can you feel me now?" he sang along with Britney once more, strutting a pose with the whisk in one hand as he got ready for the chorus. Just as he was ready to belt it out, he heard the front door open and close.

"Home!" Kurt called from the foyer and the clinking of keys could be heard as he placed them on the entryway table.

"Kitchen!" Blaine called back, quickly lowering the volume of his phone and moving to clean the now obvious mess he made, just as the timer for the oven beeped.

The gel haired man groaned as he dropped the rag and went to put the cake in the oven as his husband walked in.

"Hey." Kurt greeted, a bit taken back by the mess. "What happened here? And where're the kids?"

"Um, Alex is at a friends house studying and Courage is being, well, Courage up in her room. And I'm making a cake to hopefully cheer her up." he responded, moving to the sink to rinse off the dishes.

"Well that's sweet of you, she still being moody?" Kurt asked, grabbing a wet rag and helping the shorter man with the clean up.

"Very moody. I was joking around saying that it would be funny if Johnny Depp went into debt," he paused for a reaction and when he didn't get one, he scowled and explained. "You know, because his last names Depp and it sounds like-"

"Debt, I get it." he rolled his eyes, but was smiling a bit. "Then what happened?"

"Well, she didn't really react at first, I thought she would laugh and say I was stupid like she always does, but then started to get sassy, you know? Slamming her phone on the table, not responding to me verbally, rolling her eyes. I figured it was just her being a teenage girl so I let it slide and just talked to her, making sure everything was cool."
