"I just broke up with Brittany and I think I'm dying." Santana said breathlessly over the phone.

The sad part was, Santana actually felt like something was missing and she ended it with the blonde no more than 5 minutes ago. The Latina was going to find the genius who thought it was a good idea to put Kentucky and Lima so far away from each other, and show them a little Lima Heights Adjacent hospitality.

"Oh, San. . ." Quinn sighed. "What happened?"

"I thought it would be good for her," she confessed. "Girls like Brittany, they don't need the stress of long distance relationships. She deserves a person who can see her on the weekends and watch Lord Tubbington so he can't go back on his drug addiction. Not someone who Skypes her for two seconds then has to go."

"So you ended it?"

"So I ended it." was confirmed miserably.

"How'd she take it?" Quinn asked and Santana scoffed.

"How do you think? I sang her one of her favorite Taylor Swift songs before breaking up with her, she was sad. And I hate that I made her feel like that. It's like kicking a freaking puppy."

"But you had to do it."

"But I had to do it."

They sat in silence then. After graduation the two started becoming oddly close, despite the distance. They had lunch every so often, meeting in different places that were in the middle or sometimes where they thought would be best for their mood. It was nice to say the least.

"Listen, I'm in the area visiting my mom and sister. . . you wanna meet up?" the blonde asked slowly and hesitantly. "If you feel up to it that is."

"Um, yeah, sure." Santana tried to cover up a sniffle with a cough. "That sounds good. Just text me where, I have to get out of here before I punch something."

"Just don't make that something a person," Quinn quipped before they said their goodbyes and hung up.

The girl placed her phone in the pocket of her purse and around the school that seemed just like yesterday she was attending. When she was happy and care free. . . with Brittany.
