Ed sighed to himself. He saw Emily on the street with the boy she had been seeing. But he noticed something. He never saw them kiss. And that showed him something. Ed was still the only person she had ever kissed. In all her twenty-two years, Ed was the only boy she had ever kissed. He felt so special and happy on the inside. So pleased with himself. He got that reward of being the only person Emily Anderson had ever kissed.

He looked in the mirror. "Why is this happening? She's meant to be with me. Just me." He thought for a split second. "Two months and they've never kissed. Within a month of being with her, I got her pregnant." Ed looked up at the sky and smiled. "Are you helping daddy get mum back? Are you trying to show daddy how much he loves her? Are you?" He asked in a baby voice. He smiled lightly. "Are you, Ed?"

Emily looked in the mirror since she'd just woken up. She looked at the time. "Seven twenty-two in the morning." She murmured. "Not bad." She shrugged. She looked in the mirror and noticed her shirt was showing her skinny stomach.

She sighed and ran her hand over her stomach. "I remember when there was a little bump there. A creature was inside of me." She told it. She felt a tear down her eye as she looked at her stomach and up at the sky.

"Maybe you were needed up there, but we're still unaware as why."

She felt her small stomach make a noise from hunger. "No." She told it. "Not now. Get a damn muffin at the newspaper company." She told it. She changed into a blue shirt and jeans, not caring how she really looked. She brushed her bright red hair and smiled. "You would have my eyes, wouldn't you?"

"Emily!" An English man's voice was called from the street she walked down on. She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Emily, we need to talk."

"About what?" She asked with shiny eyes.

"Did last night... when you kissed me... it meant nothing?" He asked her. SHe heard the tone of his voice. He thought it meant something more than it did. "Emily... I was happier with you. I really... I really was." He told her. "I know that I messed up like hell! I get that-"

"You didn't mess up, Ed!" She told him. "It was time. You know this! It was time! It was the fact that you spent so much time on the road and there were so many people going up to me and asking about you and I didn't know because I hadn't seen you for months! It was the fact that I have a job and you do too and they don't collide! It was the fact that you and I... Ed I just..." Tears filled her eyes.

"When I lost our son... I felt like it was all my fault. That the miscarriage was something I had done wrong. And I know that... I know that I did mess up somehow. I didn't take care of him or I didn't love him like a mother should and the gods took him from me! Ed, I don't know! But I know I messed up!" She sobbed.

"Emily..." He said slowly.

"And I thought you'd hate me for it! For losing our kid! And every time I look at you... I think of him. And I know he's watching over us and he wants his parents. Together. And married. And maybe even have a baby because that could bring him back!"

"I know that I fucked with your life and mind. I know I slept around. Emily... when I see my future it's with you. We're married and we have children. Becuase Emily, I want to marry you. I do." Ed stepped closer to Emily. "And I want my children to be with you." She sniffed.

"I tried to give you one of those. And I lost it. I can't screw everything up for you." She sniffed. She turned around and walked away.

"Emily!" He called. She turned her head over her shoulder.

"I was happier. With you."

Emily was in her office writing a news article. "November fifteenth, tw.o-thousand thirteen." She muttered as she typed. "New Jersey mall gunman commits suicide." She typed out loud. "That's a scandal alright." She mumbled.
