Ed was touring, and Emily was at home, alone. She missed Ed so much more than she ever had before. She looked at her pills. Ed put a new note I'm them every day to make sure she read them. He made a calender for when he eas gone, so every day she had to take them, she'd put the note on herself.
"Emily, take these. I love you more than regular gingers love souls. That's a lot." She smiled lightly, before her laptop starting to beep. She climbed back onto her bed, where Ed was trying to Skype her.
"Hi, Teddy!" She exclaimed. "I've missed you!" She told him.
"I've missed you too, Emily. I was at the park the other day and there was this girl with your name and when her German boyfriend said her name I turned over and shouted your name, thinking it was you."
Emily chuckled. "Is it weird I keep seeing old couples that remind me of us?" We laughed. They got into more conversation.
"So... you're not gonna be able to see me this weekend?" Ed asked.
"I'm afraid not, Teddy. I'm sorry." Ed took a deep breath in and faked a smile.
"That's fine, Emily." He faked a happy voice.
"I'm really, really sorry. I know I promised that I'd be there for your concert. I tried." She told him.
"It's, um, i-it's OK. I know your job gets in the way. Mine does too." He replied.
"I'm able to see you-" She was stopped by her ringtone of Lightsabers, meaning it was one of her bosses. "Give me a second." She told Ed, putting the phone on her ear.
"Emily Anderson, which newspaper company are you looking to talk to?" There was a brief pause. "Now? But... I'm talking with my boyfriend who I haven't seen in weeks. I won't be able to see him this weekend, too." Ed bit his lip. "Now? Why now?" Emily sighed. "Alright, fine." She hung up and looked at Ed.
"Have to go?" He asked.
"I'm really sorry, Teddy." She told him. "Can we talk later tonight? Maybe five or six?" She asked.
"I can't. Got a concert later tonight." He told her.
"Dammit. What about tomorrow? Where are you tomorrow?" She asked him.
"Same place as here," Ed replied. She nodded.
"I'll talk to you soon, Teddy bear." She told him. She put her lips to the screen and kissed it, Ed kissing it back.
"Bye, Emily. I love you." He said.
"I love you too, Teddy." She said.
She closed her laptop and sighed, standing up to walk out the door. She grabbed her phone and pocketed it, walking out the bedroom door.
She got in the car and sighed. "Emily, I've got an idea."
Emily was in her office later that night as a meeting was over. She saw the pictures of Ed on her desk and she smiled.
