We walked in silence to my car and got in. It was really awkward and I felt as if he didn't want to be here.

"You don't have to do this ya know."

"I don't mind."

"Then why are you so quiet?"

"I don't know, I guess I'm just not sure what to say. I didn't expect you to pick me."

"Well I did, so you have to talk to me!"

He let out a small chuckle before looking at me.

"Why did you choose me?"

"You've always been my favorite of the group. I like the other guys too, but something about you made you stand out more. And being from Ireland is a bonus. I've loved that place ever since the movie Leap Year came out."

I grinned at him as he nodded, a small smile forming on his face.

"How about Slap Daddy's? I heard it's a good burger joint."

I pulled into the small parking lot and shut off the engine before he got the chance to say anything.

"Let's go, I'm hungry!"

I hopped out of the car and bolted for the door, Niall jogging up behind me.

"Man, and I thought I was bad about food."

I playfully slapped him in the arm, scoffing while I did so.

"Umm, I'll take the hangover with a large Dr. Pepper."

The lady typed in my order and handed me my cup. I let Niall order as I got my drink and returned to the counter.

"How much was the total?"

"$10.95, but that young man already paid."

"Oh.. okay. Thank you."

Niall was standing next to the fountain drinks, admiring a poster on the wall.

"You didn't have to pay ya know. I've got money."

"What kind of gentleman would I be if I let the girl pay for our dinner?"

"You'd be a, uhh, shut up."

He smiled at me and turned towards the tables.

"Where should we sit?"

"I like booths! There more comfortable."

I grabbed his arm and led him to a booth in the back corner.

"I'll go get our food." We both said simultaneously.

I immediately stood up and ran to the counter so Niall couldn't get the chance. When I got back to the table, Niall was shaking his head.

"You are stubborn, you know that?"

"So I've been told."

I smiled cheekily and bit into my burger.
