Nursery Rhyme
Once upon a time
A cat forgot her lines.
But let's begin our rhyme
And sing it several times.
The cat got caught
With fish in her mouth.
Hailed a gull
That was flying south.
Caught a cold,
Or so I'm told,
Tripped a man
Who was very old.
The man came tumbling
Down the hill.
Flattened Jack
And also Jill.
She got cross
And rode a horse
All the way to Banbury Cross
To meet a lady, really posh.
With rings on her fingers
And bells on her toes
She was really quite contrary
So the story goes.
Made off with the boy
Who lived down the lane.
While the cat and the fiddle
Now this is a riddle
We're never seen again.
Humpty, Dumpty broke his crown
Mended it with plaster
The clock struck one
We are done
And happy ever after.
