The Biggest Competition Ever 2017 - Volume 2 (Weeks 6-10)

WEEK 9 (December 1-10) (Poet in Perpetuum selection)

For week 9 we have asked our Poet in Perpetuum, lyttlejoe, to select the challenge.

He has come up with a unique challenge.

Sensory Poem (lyttlejoe)

A Poem to appeal to the senses. A 6 Line Poem that brings all the senses together.

Example :

I was standing in an orchard (setting the scene)

Admiring the full trees (sight)

When I heard an apple fall (sound)

It smelled so fresh and sweet (smell)

I took a delicious bite (taste)

I felt heaven, after all (feel)

The senses can be in any order.

The sense of feel can be emotional or physical.

Please use the above format for these poems only as all 5 of the senses listed have to be used.

Any topic can be used.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE ABOVE FORMAT PROPERLY

At the end of the ten (10) week period, there will be a two (2) week period for all Poets to send in any straggler Poems from weeks they may have missed.

Then the competition will close and the judges will announce the winners to us and we will post a full list of all the winners.

Each week style will have a separate winner.

(In the case of a Poet winning two different weeks, they will be given credit for the win, but the second place winner will advance to the Poem Write Off. We feel this is fair. The winning Poet will get a bonus poem for each subsequent week, he or she may win, if that situation arises.)

Please check back to this page each week for the newest Challenge, which will be posted on each consecutive Sunday for a ten week period.

At the end of the ten week competition, the weekly winners will be announced and only those ten winners will advance to the Poem write off for the 2017 Pubber of the Year.
