Unexpected Romance

Damon's really back

              I called Josh the next day since I needed somebody to yell at. He finally picked up and I didn't even let him get through the word hello before I snapped. "What the hell Josh, you said I had a few weeks to come to terms with Damon coming back! But you go to your sports thing for the first weekend and he shows up!"

Venting seemed to make me feel a little better. "Saint I'm sorry, I didn't know he was coming back early, he didn't bother you too much did he?" Now I know I should tell him about what Damon said but I think that would make things way worse.

Also, I can handle that myself, "No he was making out with Mylie and it was gross, and just said he was back is all." I almost feel bad for lying but I'm not making things worse. After talking to Josh didn't help as much as I was hoping I decided that I needed something to do to take my mind off things. 

Walking downstairs I got a perfect idea. "Hey, mom can we go shopping today?" 

My mom looked so surprised like I was offering the world, it was creepy. "Of course, we can go you never want to go with me it's usually you and your friends!"

Well walking around the mall for hours on end with a giant chocolate coffee drink was just what I needed, even if we didn't buy anything. 

My mom was happy too, "So Saint, I am glad you wanted to spend the day with me it was fun."

 "Yea it was, we have to go get some food though to make this day even better, I'm hungry." My mom just laughed. All of a sudden of course the one person I was trying to forget just happens to be in the same place as me, I have the greatest luck.

"Well Saint fancy meeting you here, and is this your sister?" Damon said and was so cocky. 

My mom is too nice sometimes and this is one of those times, "Hi I'm Julie, Saint's mom nice to meet you." 

She started to reach her hand out, but I pushed it back down. 

 No, not this time mom, "Mom don't talk to him he is an asshole who doesn't need any introductions."

 My mom looked like I just kicked her, and Damon was laughing. "Saint that was extremely rude."

"No, it's okay, my name is Damon I've been away for a while. Saint used to have a small crush on me, and I think I just make her a little uneasy." I can't believe he just said that and to my mother what a jerk!

 My mom though was still a little pissed at me, "There was no excuse for that, but we can start this over."

"Hi, my name is Julie, Saint's mom." 

She reached her hand out and this time Damon took it. "Hi, I'm Damon, Saint's old crush." 

Oh no, not happening, "You're not my old crush, I actually couldn't stand you!" 

My mom didn't seem to like that response, "Saint now I don't know what has gotten into you but you need to apologize right now." 

Seriously, she thinks that I should apologize to him, what about him apologizing to me? "But mom." 

"NOW!" 

I very reluctantly replied, "I'm sorry for being rude Damon, please forgive me."

The look on his face was not helping at all "It's okay I forgive you." That seemed to appease my mom, at least for now in public. I knew that when we weren't in front of people, she would be yelling at me for my behavior. I noticed that Damon was still looking at me and my body was starting to feel a little tingle. No, I will not find this arrogant asshole attractive! Finally, my mom broke the tension.
