You jolted up from your bed, little beads of sweat, breathing heavily.

" It's okay, everything's okay. It was just a stupid nightmare," you placed your hand on your forehead to wipe away the sweat. You slowly got up from your bed, then strolled to the window to peek through the curtains. " Huh, it's day time already."

Today was the day, the Path of Judgement was today. You have trained for days with Angelica to prepare for that day.

You stretched, yawning as you did so. " I better pack up before the test starts," you went to your dresser and picked out some of the clothes to place in your little suitcase. After you finished packing, you cleaned yourself up and got dressed.

Just as you finished dressing, you heard the knocking on your door downstairs.

" Coming!" you called out, then ran downstairs. You opened the door to see Alex, Eliza and all of your friends in front of your doorstep. " Morning," you greeted. " What brings you all here?"

Alex smiled, " Everyone wanted to wish you good luck and goodbye."

You were instantly surrounded by everyone, hugging you. " Thanks...you guys." You choked out, your air passage was being slightly blocked. " I..can't breathe," you were suffocating.

Still, their hugs weren't deadly, only if they snapped your neck and shredded your soul, then yeah. You'd be dead.

" Oh, sorry," they said together, moving away.

You gasped for air, " I-It's cool. Plus, I won't be leaving for a while. I do have to still do the physical test, and you guys are able to say goodbye after I finish the physical test," you reminded them.

" That's true," John agreed.

" But we wanted to spend time with you before you go!" Peggy sang, smiling.

You looked at everyone. You actually wanted to go out and dress, but it was nice that I wanted to be with you before the Path of Judgement began. " I guess it wouldn't hurt," you told them, agreeing to spend time with them.

You were outside with everyone in the meadows. You sat down on the grass, enjoying the fresh air to get your mind off that dream you had.

" Mind if I join you?" Alex asked.

" No, go ahead," you allowed with a smile.

Alex exhaled, " I can't believe today's the day. It kinda only feels like yesterday since you came to be."

" Yeah, I can't believe it either. I've come a long way. To be honest, I actually excited. I'm going to be a Mid-Flight."

He chuckled, " I know. I'm proud of you."

You looked down, " Thanks." Did you really deserve that praise? After all, you messed up multiple times. From going to the human world without permission, and being attacked by a demon.

Alex looked at your concern, " Is everything alright?"

" In a way," you responded.

" Was it because of what happened few days ago with Ange?" he questioned. " She told me something went wrong with training." You were silent. " Sorry for bringing that up," Alex apologizing, realizing he had touched a nerve.

You shook your head, " No, i-it's fine. I don't know what happened during that training session," you explained. " Everything was going smoothly until this random sharp headache came in, and I wasn't able to focus on flying. It was weird." You tried to laugh it off as some funny freak accident, but Alex didn't find that funny. " Oh, um," you resumed to being quiet.
