" So, what brings you here?" Jason asked, exiting with you out of the dress store. "

Um...

" Reasons?" you answered, now wearing a new dress. " You know, you didn't have to do this," you said, playing with the sleeves of the dress.

Jason smiled, " But, I wanted to. Besides, you look very flattering in that dress. You have a good taste in fashion." he complimented.

" Let me be honest. I'm not much of a fanatic for clothes, so I wouldn't say I have a good taste," you admitted, look around for any of your fellow In-Trainings so you could leave him be.

Sure Jason was nice, but you didn't want to be his friend. Angels were forbidden to have any type of relationship with a human. Angels fear that it would blind and corrupt their mind, depending on what type of human they befriend. Yes, there were good humans in the word but it was too much of a risk to still befriend a human, especially as an In-Training or Mid-Flight. You had limited power unlike a Full-Fledged.

You sighed, " I need to get back before sunfall." you mentioned, muttering to yourself. Of course, the sun was still high in the sky. " I'm guessing you're a regular here?"

Jason nodded, " Yep. Been here since I was born." he confessed. " It's kinda rare for one to stay in a town for such a long period, since scary incidents happen here. Most newcomers leave right away from people debating. For example." Jason sighed, noticing a crowd of people. He took you by the hand, walking to a pair of barrels that stood next to each other. " Here," he lifted you up to stand on top of the barrel.

You were unsure, " Is this even safe?" you lost balance and almost fell, but thank god Jason caught you. " Um.." you stared at him for a moment. " Thanks." you thanked as he helped balance you.

He smiled, letting you go once you were able to retain your own balance. " You're welcome. Now." he joined you by taking the next barrel. " Behold." he extended his arm in a dramatic way. There were two men arguing. Under his breathe he cussed, " Dammit, the crowds muffling what they're saying." he was disappointed.

Oddly enough, you could hear it loud and clear, since you had more advanced hearing due to you being born as an angel.

You could hear the men yell, " What you are doing is wrong! You're just paranoid about witches and demons existing"

The other men had to disagree,  "You must be shitting me! Have you noticed or listen to the tales of the unnatural deaths occurred for over a century?!" the man then pulled his fist back and punched the man.

You pursed your lips, then said, " This is very intense.." you winced as you watched the two men fight. " Should we..?" you were about to come off the barrel, but you again almost fell off.

" Whoa!" Jason grabbed your hand, pulling you back up, but as he did he began to lose balance. Unintentionally, he took you down with him. Both of you fell down on your backs. Jason groaned in pain, slowly getting up. " You okay?"

You nodded, rubbing your head " Yeah, you?"

" I think I hurt m-" Jason stopped, completely forgetting about the pain and jolted up. " We should go." he took his time saying it as he pulled you up.

Before he could make a run for it with you, you held your ground. As you watched you noticed three men dressed in red, each holding guns, they were running to the crowd. But their attention and focus were not drawn to the crowd and fighting men, their focus was on an orange creature.

" Oh, you have to be fuc-I mean kidding me."

It was that same fox.

" This fox is beyond normal." you sighed, freeing yourself from Jason's grasp. " I gotta help it." you darted, following the men in red.
