You quickly sat up, finding yourself in your room. With a sigh of relief, for a moment you thought it was a common nightmare, and you didn't go to the human world and just went home to sleep, but you were wrong. The memory from last night replayed in your mind.
Every single moment you experience was definitely real. From the pain, you were forced to endure as the venom course through your veins. Which meant you actually encountered that demon. Thomas. That mere name sent shivers down your spine and wings. And the fact that he wanted to be mates with you that easily give you goosebumps. He simply saw you, and just quickly believed you were his and his only
You got up from your bed, walking up to your mirror that was near your dresser. Getting a look at your wings. They were healed completely. However, they were stained with a tint of red and some of your feathers were missing. Upon touching you remembered what he had told you after healing your wings.
" I can't have my mate tell everyone about our plans, can I? It simply had to inject venom into your veins, that's all. Think of it as a reminder not to tell your loved one.... The wounds I gave you will come back, and the pain you felt a few minutes ago will return with brute force if you tell a single soul. No matter who heals you, those wounds will always remain, and I'm the only one that is able to properly remove them."
You gulped, your blood now running cold. If you told anyone about Thomas and his intentions you'd .have go through that intolerable pain all over again. A pain that would never disappear, only if that demon you hated healed you.
You sighed, rubbing your temples. " Snap out of it, (Y/n)! You're home. You're safe. He can't get you here. As long as your in Heaven and he's in Hell, you'll be fine." You tried to give yourself some reasurrence, but what if he comes and takes you away from your friend? No, it was nearly impossible for a demon to enter Heaven, they're souls were tainted, thus locking them out of Heaven. But still, Thomas could find a way to get into Heaven. Demons were crafty creatures after all.
This time you lightly pulled your hair, " No! Bad! You shouldn't think so negatively!" you scolded yourself. " Let's just try to live a normal life. A normal day in Heaven."
You heard a knock on your door. " (Y/n)? Are you awake?"
You cleared your throat, trying to forget about your current thoughts and fears. " Y-yeah, I'm up."
There was a long sigh as the door opened with Alex. He seemed calm and collected and not a mess thankfully.
" Ale-" you were tackled by Alex with a hug.
" I was so worried!" he confessed. " If it was possible, you'd make my every strand of my hair turn grey within a heartbeat."
You pulled away from the hug, rubbing the back of your head. " I'm sorry. It was too tem-ow!" you yelped as he pulled on your hair
Alex revered back into his big brother or father role for you. " That's what you get for going to the human world without an escort! You're an In-Training not a Full-Fledged! Only Full-Fledgeds are permitted to venture into the human world!"
You sighed as you pulled away, " It would've been avoided if you just went to the human world with me, and or you avoid talking about me encountering a demon."
Alex gasped when you had said the word. Demon wasn't a swear word obviously, but he hated the mentions of demons with a passion.
He squinted his eyes, staring at your wings. " Some of your feathers have been plucked off." he pointed out, touching one of the bare areas. " What happened when you in human world?"
