You dodged and ducked every punch and kick Angelica gave you. In response, you retaliated by attacking more aggressively, until you knocked her down.
Angelica looked up at you, laughing, " Not bad, not bad," she complimented.
You huffed, your legs were ready to collapse. " Thanks," you walked to her and helped her help.
" You're improving greatly with your combat skills. You've been very aggressive lately. Not that it's a bad thing, it's good. Keep this up and you'll be good to go," she told you. " However, there is one thing you can work on," Angelica mentioned.
" What is it?"
With a sly smirk, Angelica sweep kicked you, knocking you down. " Your stance is terrible!" she exclaimed.
You fell onto your back, the air instantly being removed from your lungs. You groaned, slowly sitting up. " Well played, Ange." You cracked a smile.
Angelica giggled, pulling you up from the ground. " Why thank you," she did a bow. After that, she stared at you for a moment. " I noticed that you look well rested compared to a few months ago."
Your hands touched your cheek, " Really?" you said in shock. " I guess James's advice really helped."
" James? As in James Madison, the ice cold Grim?" Angelica looked at you with disbelief. " (Y/n) did I mess up your memory after I kicked you to the ground, or are you serious about James helping you?"
" I'm serious," you confirmed. With a moment of silence hitting both of you, suddenly Angelica letted out a laugh. " What's so funny?"
" It's just, James seems like the last person to be helpful," Angelica giggled softly.
You sighed, " I know it's kinda crazy, but it's the truth."
" Well, then, I guess I should be thanking him. I'm glad you're doing better."
" Yeah, me too." You smiled happily. You were truly grateful for James's advice. However, though you were able to sleep more at ease, it didn't stop your insane dreams. But thankfully, they were more pleasant. " So!" you exclaimed. " Let's get back to training!"
Angelica grinned, rolling her eyes playfully. " Of course, however, let's mix it up." From behind her back, she held a strip of cloth.
" A blindfold? Ange, really?"
" Yep, I did mention that we'd do this."
" You got this idea from John didn't you?"
" Nah. Just put the blindfold on."
" Fine," you took the blindfold and covered your eyes with it.
Once the blindfold was on everything was dark. You had to depend on your senses and your abilities. Even though everything was dark, in your mind you could see a bright, fire-like entity. This was a soul ( of course to be specific: Angelica's soul). You could faintly feel a slight vibration and slow breathing. Angelica was sneaking behind you. You quickly turned around and swung a punch before she could attack. In return, Angelica attempted to punch you, but you dodged it. As you tried to hit her with a kick, Angelica avoided this by flying in the sky, with that caused you to feel air being blown at you, nearly knocking you down.
" Really? Aerial combat?" you looked down, following Angelica's soul.
" Hey, nobody plays by the rules in combat, this isn't child's play. Plus, it'll help if you ever get yourself in a bind."
You exhaled, " I doubt that would happen, but hey, I get what you're trying." You opened your wings thing flew to the sky. " You know, this is kinda silly," you remarked, darting to Angelica, throwing a punch at her, only to have her block it.
