Clinging onto Thomas' arm, you noticed that he was humming as his eyes danced around the town. He appeared peaceful and at ease. It was nice to see him at this state.

A sweet aroma began to linger into the cold and bitter wind. " What is that?" you wafted the air to collect more the pleasant scent. " It smells really good."

Thomas stopped walking, trying to figure out what you were talking about. He then resumed walking down the street with you. When you reached the town square, to your surprise, instead of the usual music and people dancing there were still people there, but in the middle, there was a fairly large pot that was over a fire with a certain liquid in it. That was the source of the delightful aroma. People gathered around the pot with cups in their hands, wanting to drink the delicious beverage.

Your eyes lit up with interest as you stared at the pot.

Thomas looked down at you, " Do you want some?" he walked you down to be close to it.

You let a soft 'Hmm?' as you tilted your head at him. " I mean, it smells great, but it's not a necessity for me."

" I know you don't need it, but do you want it?" Thomas questioned. " I can get some for us."

You pondered for a moment, biting your lower lip. " No thanks, you got ahead," you told him. " But, you don't have a cup. How are you-"

Without any warning, you felt a strong blast of wind knock you down, forcing you to make contact with the frigid ground. Thomas was gone. " Holy mother of f-Crap!" you squeaked out, feeling the freezing ground remove any traces of warmth from your hands and other parts that touched the ground. It only lasted for five seconds, but it felt like minutes as you fell bottom first on the ground. When it reached five seconds you tried to get up, but to your dismay, you were knocked down again by the strong gust of air.

" Oh, shit, are you okay/" Thomas asked, holding a single cup in his hand. With his warm hand he helped you up from. " My bad. I must have overdone it while I was running at such a velocity. Hope I didn't hurt you or anything."

" I'm okay, no serious damage," you stood up, wiping off any snow on your dress and coat.

" Here, let me help," Thomas began to warm you up with his hands, though he did his best to avoid any regions you didn't want him to touch. He was drying up any wet spots on your dress. " And....there!" he exclaimed, moving his hands away from you.

" Thanks," you ravished the relaxing warmth that surrounded your body for a short amount of time.

Thomas smiled, " Anytime, I'll be right back." He strolled to into the crowd, carefully fighting his way to get in front of everyone.

You waited, sitting down on a lone barrel that was near the entrance of the town square, however you had to first wipe off the snow from it. The snowfall increased as minutes went by, making you consider dragging Thomas out the crowd and tell him it wasn't worth it. Then again, he was a stubborn demon, and he'd persist to fulfill his objective even if it killed him.

To your relief, Thomas was able to escape the crowd. " Sorry for the long wait."

You got off the barrel to stand up, welcoming Thomas back with a small wave. " It's okay." You observed the beverage in the drink, " So, what's the big deal with it? Why do people crowd over it?" you asked as Thomas took a sip from the cup.

" It's hot chocolate. It's suitable for the weather that's all, and also, its taste is very nice." He began to walk out of the town square, making you follow him. " Now, come on, we better head to my place to avoid being turned into ice cubes." He then looked back at you, noticing that you were observing the beverage as he took gradual sips. He offered it to you, " Do you want to try it?"
