Lydia POV
I'm pacing back and forth in my house, biting my nails anxiously as I continue to walk. This is getting very annoying. It is clear to me that Scott and Stiles really like each other, but they don't want to do anything about it! Idiots! Obviously, I'm going to have to try and do something about it. I haven't been able to concentrate on my work all day. My latest design is only half finished. I'm definitely blaming Scott and Stiles for that. Jordan is still at work today, so I'm home alone. I really don't understand why Scott or Stiles don't just confess to each other about how they are really feeling. After what Isaac told me happened the other night between Scott and Stiles, I'm very surprised and skeptical that they don't believe something is up. I mean, seriously. Two guys spooning in bed? Isaac's right. They clearly like each other as more than just friends. Scott and Stiles are both just in denial. Maybe it's because of their rough pasts, I don't know. Still, surely they should be able to see how perfect they are for each other and know that they'd never hurt one another or their children? Ugh, they make things so complicated.
Finally, I decide on pulling out my phone from my pocket and dial a number of someone that I haven't spoken much to in years. In fact, the first time I spoke to them after high school was at the hospital when Stiles got seriously hurt. I lift the phone up to my ear and continue pacing. Eventually, the person on the other end of the phone picks up on the fifth ring.
"Hello? Lydia? What's up?" The girl asks curiously and worriedly.
"Hi Allison. This is kind of an emergency. Well, not really, but I'm just getting fed up of waiting around for something to happen." I reply hurriedly as I continue to walk around the living room, running a hand through my hair.
"Okay, what's going on?" Allison asks, sounding worried.
"It's Scott and Stiles. I'm getting frustrated because they are doing nothing about their feelings for each other. Surely you can see how much they are in love with each other, right?" I explain, hoping that my old best friend would understand.
"Oh my god, yes! I'm so glad that you understand! It's so hard to just watch them interact with each other because it's so clear that they are hiding their true feelings from each other! Well, maybe not hiding, as they both aren't doing a great job of that, but they aren't exactly telling each other the truth, either. I get that they might be scared, but they need to learn to let go of that and allow themselves to be completely happy and in love with each other." Allison exclaims loudly.
"I'm glad I'm not alone." I breathe a sigh of relief.
"Girl, everyone thinks that Scott and Stiles should just freaking fess up by now." Allison giggles.
"I don't blame them." I chuckle.
"Maybe we need to help them? You know, push things forward a bit." Allison suggests.
"Good idea, that's what I was thinking. But how are we going to do that?" I frown, feeling stumped.
"We have to set them up on a date! Duh." Allison giggles.
"Yeah, but how? Surely they would know something is up." I reason with my friend.
"Hmm, good point." Allison hums, obviously trying to think of a solution.
"We'll have to get their kids involved somehow. Make it seem like that they are just meeting up somewhere for the kids. Then, we will take Jason and Claudia away for a while and take care of them while Scott and Stiles have time on their own in hopefully a really nice and romantic place. Boom." Allison exclaims excitedly after a few moments of thinking.
