Stiles POV

The rest of the day passes by fairly quickly, actually. When Lydia, Allison, Claudia and Jason leave, they promise they'll be back to visit tomorrow and I promise Lydia and Claudia I'll be home tonight. I need to get at least some decent sleep if I'm going to be staying here with Scott a lot, because I know I won't be getting much sleep here. Besides, I have to hand up that damn article about the school shooting today. I decide that when my dad comes around, I'll make sure he brings a USB so he can print off my work when he goes home and either hands it up to my boss for me or just gives it back to me so I can drop it off on the way home from the hospital. I text Dad about bringing a USB just after Allison, Lydia and the kids leave.

After lunch, just like they promised, Malia, Kira, Isaac and Liam all come to visit Scott, very relieved to see that he's alive and okay. They stay for about an hour before they leave too, wishing the two of us all the best and that Scott has a speedy recovery. A little while after that, my dad comes by to visit, with a USB, much to my relief. I transfer my work from my laptop to his USB and tell him to print it and drop it off at my work and either give it to my boss, Frank Hamilton or my co-worker there that I know that I can trust with this, Phoebe Maxwell. Dad nods in understanding and promises me he will do just that.

Scott and my dad start off with small talk, but then they start talking about the shooting and how they are both holding up after it. Scott asks what happened to the shooter, his name apparently being Connor Anderson. I can't believe no one told him that the shooter shot himself. It slipped my mind to tell him today, and Scott had enough to deal with yesterday, but I'm surprised no one else told him. I also can't believe that the shooter was a student of Scott's last year. That's a scary thought to me, making me realize how real this situation is. Not that it wasn't real before of course, but just how you really have no idea what a person is capable of and that anyone could have done it, no matter how smart or pretty you are.

Dad leaves after about an hour also, giving both Scott and I a hug, saying that he loves both of us and advises us to take it easy. I promise him that we will and I tell him to take it easy as well and to not forget to print off the article and drop it off at my work. Once he leaves, it's just Scott and I again, so I move closer to the bed, hold onto his hand again and we begin talking to each another about everything and anything. We could be talking about something important or random crap that means nothing, it doesn't matter. It means everything to me because I'm spending time with Scott and I love and treasure every minute of it. The time starts flying by and the sunlight in the room changes as the day goes on. I even get my phone out, write out some questions that I think will be good for the extended article and begin asking Scott the questions, recording down his responses. It doesn't take us very long to do this and it seems like Scott is more than happy to answer any questions, wanting to help me out. It's good to see Scott isn't as tired as he was yesterday.

It's about 5pm when some of the nurses come in, surprised to still see me here. I hold onto Scott's hand a little more tightly.

"Sir, I think it's time for you to leave. You were here all of last night and today, which I think we were very lenient with you on. We usually don't let visitors stay the night. Mr McCall needs his rest." One of the nurses tells me as she begins to walk over to the two of us. I frown at her and shake my head stubbornly.

"No." I simply tell her, refusing to listen and comply with the nurse's wishes. She raises an eyebrow at me.

"No?" She repeats my word, sounding incredulous.
