Scott POV
The night passes by surprisingly quickly, and it's just as amazing as I hoped it would be. The restaurant Allison suggested was elegant and the food served was absolutely divine. It took all of my effort to not lick the plate or use my fingers to get that extra source. Stiles did not have as much self control and gave into the temptation, licking the plate clean. It was a cute and funny sight for me, because it was so Stiles, but I don't think the restaurant staff or the other diners were very impressed, judging from the looks they gave Stiles, but Stiles didn't care, and that's one of the things I love about Stiles. He will always be himself, no matter what anyone else thinks, especially since he doesn't have James hovering over him and controlling him and hurting him now. As soon as the thought of James entered my mind, I quickly pushed it away, because I don't want him to spoil the night. Tonight is not about James, it's about Stiles and myself.
We laughed and talked all the way through dinner and Stiles had a glass of champagne (I decided not to drink anything except water because I'm supposed to be driving anyway and won't even risk a standard drink that won't push me over the legal limit). I honestly would have been fine to just spend the night at this restaurant, as it's a very nice place and Stiles and I could entertain ourselves for hours. It doesn't really matter where we are, we never get bored being with each other or talking with each other. That's a habit we had when we were kids too. Even the most mundane things were made fun by having Stiles around. Mom was always weirded out by how we gladly did the laundry for her, laughing and talking all the way, having fun. I never enjoyed doing laundry without Stiles. I hated it. Mom figured this out quickly and even though it weirded her out, she somehow devised a plan to always call Stiles over when there was laundry to be done. Her plan worked almost every time.
Eventually though, we had to leave the restaurant, because we didn't want to miss the concert. We got back into the car and drove to the stadium where the concert was going to be. It was packed out already. We got out of the car and walked towards the entrance. My heart melted at the sight of Stiles looking so excited and happy, almost jumping up and down on his feet, holding my hand tightly. I swear he's the most cutest human being ever. How could anyone not love him?
After about 10 minutes of looking around, we finally find our seats. I have to say, Lydia found us pretty decent seats, not too far away from the stage, and I know that we'll be able to see everything clearly. The crowd is talking loudly around us, adding to the exciting atmosphere. I glance over at Stiles and smile affectionately as he too talks excitedly to me, a happy and bright smile on his face as he talks about the band and how good this concert will be. Honestly, to me, this concert could be terrible, but I'd still have an amazing time because I'm here with Stiles, and I always feel super happy when Stiles is happy.
Eventually, Stiles notices my staring. "What? Do I have something in my teeth?" Stiles asks, tilting his head to the side slightly, his tongue trailing over his teeth to try and get any food out. I chuckle and shake my head. This is the second time Stiles is asking this tonight. His slight obliviousness and innocence is quite adorable.
"No, no. I was just thinking about how happy it makes me to see you this excited, and how much I love you." I answer honestly with a kind smile. Even in the darkness, I can tell Stiles is blushing and smiling bashfully.
"Oh, well, I love you too. Which of course you would know... I hope." Stiles stammers a little, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. I can't help but giggle a little bit and wrap an arm around Stiles' shoulder, pulling him in closer to me.
"Of course I know that, Stiles." I reply before giving him a quick peck on the cheek, which makes me my heart skip slightly with excitement. When I pull away, even in this darkness, I can see Stiles' face tinged slightly pink, but there is a huge smile on his face. I still think that his smile could light up the world.
