Mike got out his supercom again in front of Rey, Nancy, and Hopper. He was nervous, because this was the only way to prove to them that El talked to him. What if she couldn't answer? What if something happened? He didn't know why it was only the negative thoughts repeating in his head. If only he hadn't been so negative about everything recently, he could be thinking the positives.
Rey, Nancy, and Hopper watched as Mike tried to talk to El through the supercom. He kept on switching channels and moving around the room to try to get a good signal, even though it didn't matter since El had powers to use to channel him. He grew even more nervous as seconds passed.
Just then, static could be heard from the other end. Mike immediately looked down at his supercom with wide eyes. "El? El is that you?! If it is, talk to me!" He said in an excited tone.
"Mike?" El responded. Nancy and Hopper exchanged wide eyed looks and Rey gasped. "I'm here Mike."
Mike smiled and teared up. "I'm going to find you, wherever you are. We'll be together again. Just please, tell me where you are. I know it's a bad place, but which bad place? The Upside Down? The lab? Somewhere else?" He asked, voice breaking a bit.
A few minutes of silence occurred before El replied with, "The lab. The bath. I see you." Mike looked around in confusion. Then he saw what looked like her in front of him. He dropped his supercom in shock.
"Eleven?"
"Mike."
He knew he couldn't hug her since she wasn't really there. He turned to the others that were still in the room and they nodded, saying that they could see her too. Mike turned back to her and looked at her. Her hair was poofy and curly and she was wearing a bathing suit with no shoes. She had bags under her eyes and she looked really tired.
"They won't let me out of the bath. I have to stay in it. To make contact," El said in a sad tone.
Mike had tears streaming down his face. "I'm going to get you out El. I promise," he said.
El nodded and started tearing up as well. "Promise," she repeated.
"I love you El."
"I love you too Mike."
Then the girl faded away from where she was and Mike was full on crying. He finally saw her again after two months of being torn apart without her. And soon, he would see her in person. He got up from where he was sitting and went into the bedroom of the cabin to grab his gun. He noticed the others looking at him and he looked back with a determined look.
"I'm getting her out," Mike declared. Then he grabbed his backpack and ran out the door to the cabin. Nancy, Rey, and Hopper tried to keep up, but he was too fast. So Rey decided to send a telepathic message to Lucas, Dustin, Max, Will, Jonathan, and Joyce.
"Meet at Hawkins Lab. We found Mike and he is heading there now," she said. Then she, Nancy, and Hopper took off in the direction of the lab.
...
Everyone arrived at the same time to see Mike walking around the fence. He looked like he was looking for a way through, which he was. Rey came up to him and the boy didn't even notice her until she put a hand on his shoulder.
"There's a better way," she informed. "Everyone, hold hands and form a circle," she ordered. Everyone did as they were told and formed a circle. Rey then closed her eyes and focused her mind. Blood started streaming down her nose as she managed to teleport the group through the fence. Rey took a few deep breaths and wiped the blood away as everyone let go of each other's hands. When she was able to catch her breath, Rey shapeshifted into a Hawkins Lab guard to disguise herself. Then she put handcuffs on everyone and made sure to loosen them just in case they needed to attack.
"We going to do this? Lets engage," Dustin declared.
Mike nodded in agreement. "Let's find El and these other experiments," He added in.
Everyone, but Rey, Nancy, and Hopper, looked at him in confusion. "What do you mean by El? Are you going crazy again, Mike?" Lucas asked.
Mike rolled his eyes in response. "I'll explain later. Are we going to go this or what?" He said. Everyone nodded as they entered the lab doors.
