Rey was at her house in her room, doing some homework and listening to music on her stereo. She was home alone since her adopted parents had night jobs and she was still awake at a late hour to finish up homework for school. She was distracted by her thoughts of what had happened earlier though.
The former experiment felt both happy and upset over what happened. She was happy that she and the others were able to get her three friends out, but upset that Eleven couldn't escape. Rey knew that she would have to go back in there to save El, but they would've upgraded their security now that they have broken in already. She would have to figure out another plan to get in, but it would take time.
Rey was interrupted in her thoughts when she heard a knock at her door. She got out of her room and walked over to the front door, expecting it to be her adopted parents. To her surprise, it wasn't. It was Mike, who had a frantic look on his face. She let him in and looked at him in concern.
"Mike? What's wrong?" She asked.
Mike seemed to be out of breath, as if he had ran a marathon. "Something happened earlier. It was so weird and it freaked me out. I thought you would know because of your powers," he said. "I was in my room in the cabin, looking at my picture of El. But when I held it close to my chest and closed my eyes, something weird happened. When I opened my eyes, I wasn't in the cabin. I was in a dark, empty space. Then I saw El, who was crying. When I tried to hold her hand, she disappeared. Then I woke up in the cabin again with my nose bleeding. I don't know what's happening!"
Rey looked shocked at his story. "You were in the void, or what they normally call the bath?" She asked. Mike nodded in response, knowing what she meant. Rey thought about it for a few minutes before turning back to the boy. "I don't know how exactly, but you have powers like El's. From what I've heard, she can go into the bath whenever she wants to as long as it's dark. She can see whatever she wants to see, pretty much. That's what happened with you. You were holding that picture of her and thinking about her. That's how she came into your mind," she explained.
Mike looked more surprised and shocked than ever before. He fell down onto the couch without even realizing it and but a hand against his forehead. "Holy shit," he muttered. Then he looked back up at Rey. "So I have telekinesis and telepathy now, like El?" He asked again. Rey nodded in response. Mike decided to try and test it out. He saw the TV remote in the room and glared down at it. After focusing his mind, the remote started lifting up by itself. Mike was amazed by this, but suddenly felt tired. The remote fell back onto the table and the boy leaned back against the couch, nose bleeding.
"Since your new to the whole having powers thing, you'll start off as weak. But you'll grow to use it as you keep using it and growing older," Rey said, handing him a tissue. Mike took the tissue and wiped his nose to clear off the blood.
"Whoa," He commented.
All of a sudden, the phone started ringing. Rey got up and went over to answer it, curious as to who it was at this time of night. She picked up the phone and put it up to her ear. "Hello?" She asked.
"REY HURRY THE FUCK UP AND GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW! SHIT IS HAPPENING OVER HERE AND IT IS FUCKING SCARY!" A loud voice screamed into the phone. Rey nearly dropped the phone at how loud the voice was. Mike could even hear it even though he was in another room. Rey realized that this was 009 talking because of the tone of voice and because of the cursing.
"Wait, 009, whats going on?!" She asked.
"ILL EXPLAIN WHEN YOU GET YOUR ASS HERE! I ALREADY CALLED 007 AND 010! NOW HURRY UP!" 009 yelled.
"Okay I'm on my way! I'll be there!" Rey said before hanging up the phone. Then she went back into the room Mike was in, seeing that he had a look of concern. "We have to go," she told him.
