Trouble Brews

Eleven knelt down beside the unconscious Mike and tried to shake him awake. He just laid there with his eyes shut and he wasn't moving at all. Everyone was worried that he could be dead somehow, but El refused to think that way at all. She overused her powers once and she ended up being alive. Why couldn't the same happen for Mike?

"Mike! Mike! Mike! Wake up! Please wake up!" The girl begged while shaking him. He still refused to open his eyes. El turned to the others with tears glistening her eyes. "What's wrong with him?!" She asked.

Rey bent down to take a better look at the unconscious boy. "He's overused his powers on Dylan. He's out of energy right now. Since he only just got his powers yesterday, he's very weak with them. Even the simplest thing can make his ears bleed as well as his nose. He's probably going to be out of it for a bit. All I can say is that he's alive," she explained.

"Holy shit," Dustin said. "I can't believe Mike actually has powers."

Lucas shook his head. "Neither can I. How did he get them anyway?" He asked, turning to Rey.

The former experiment shrugged. "I honestly have no idea. You can either get powers by being born with them, getting injected with them, forming a bond with someone who has them, or developing them with your mind," she said, "I'm not sure if Mike was born with them and hadn't discovered them for a long time. I think the most likely the answer is forming a bond or developing his powers with his mind."

Nancy sighed in disbelief of the whole situation. This was way too much for her to handle in just one sitting. Her little brother had powers and he was now unconscious because of them and they were going through a difficult situation. Also, the evil experiments were STILL in the Byers house. She turned over to look at Dylan, who was lying against the wall where Mike was previously choking the life out of her. She was still gasping for air and trying not to get angry as Nancy came over to her with a glare.

"Who are you and why did you try to hurt us?! We are in a situation right now and you are not helping!" She yelled.

Dylan raised an eyebrow at her. "And Who are you supposed to be? The sheriff?" She said.

"That would actually be me," Hopper added in with a cough. "Answer us right now and tell us who you are or there will be severe consequences."

The evil experiment chuckled at the group in front of her, not being fazed by them even though she could've been killed by one of them earlier. "I'm surprised that 005, 007, 009, and 010 don't remember me. We grew up together in the lab," Dylan commented. "And all I want is to show that people with powers are better than you idiot people. 005, 007, 009, 010, 011, why won't you join me in doing it? You don't need these people."

The former experiments all refused at the same time. There was no way that they were going to destroy innocent people just because they didn't have powers. El looked down at Mike and squeezed his hand tight, scared for him and everyone else. Then she looked back up at Dylan and glared at her.

"If joining you means killing not bad people, then no. Now go," she said.

"What is going on?"

Everyone turned to the small voice that asked that question. Will was standing in the hall next to the entryway of the living room. He looked around at everyone, who all had worried and tired looks, then he looked at El who was still holding an unconscious Mike's hand. The boy then saw the four intruders in the house and he started glaring a little at them.

"You," Will said in a rough voice. "You upset him. You hurt me and him." He then closed his eyes and started shaking a little bit. Everyone stared at him in concern.

"Will? Honey are you okay? What's going on?" Joyce asked, putting her hands on her son's shoulders.

Jonathan put a hand on his hand with an anxious look on his face. "Buddy, what's happening? Are you alright?" He asked.

El shook her head at them with a look of both worry and determination. She stood up and walked over to the frozen Will. She examined him a little bit before looking up at Joyce and Jonathan with a sad look on her face.

"He's calling the Shadow Monster. The monsters are coming. They want to kill. Will is being hurt by the Shadow Monster," El explained. "I don't know how, but they are coming."

Everyone exchanged worried looks with each other before looking back at Will. Suddenly, Bob snapped his fingers, causing the group to look at him in confusion.

"Whatever those things are, they could be using the tunnels. You said they were tunnels right?" He said, looking over at El. She nodded in response before he continued. "They must be using these tunnels to travel around Hawkins to probably who knows where and what they will do? They are probably coming right here and right now."

El nodded in agreement and looked at the rest. "They are coming to kill. We need to go," she said. "But Will can't know where," she added in.

Rey's eyes widened. "Of course. Since the Shadow Monster has him under control, he can basically see what Will sees. We need to get out of here, otherwise, we're done for. Same with the whole world," she said. Then she looked back over at Will. "But how can we make him not know where we are? Any ideas?"

Cat then spoke up. "I can freeze him. It won't kill him like I did with the dicks in the lab, I can control that part if I want to. Maybe if he's frozen, he won't know where he is," she suggested. Everyone nodded in agreement, including a reluctant Joyce, so Cat then used her powers to freeze Will in place. "Alright, taken care of. Now where the fuck do we go?" She asked. The group all looked at each other to see if anyone had ideas. Just then, Hopper spoke up.

"I know where to go."
