Now What?

After escaping the lab with all but one and teleporting out, Mike felt more miserable than ever. He failed to save El after thinking she was dead for two months. He tried to save her and risked his life, but only to have her leave her arms again. What kind of friend or boyfriend was he, to not be able to help her? Mike felt like that if El saw him again, she would hate him forever and probably hurt him with her powers. He wouldn't blame her though. He deserved it.

Nancy comforted him the best she could, but Mike couldn't cheer up. Lucas, Dustin, and Will tried to help him out, but he wouldn't even smile. Even Jonathan, Joyce, Hopper, and Rey tried to cheer him up, but it came to no avail. Max didn't know what to do since he still hated her and 007, 009, and 010 didn't even know him so there was nothing they could do either.

Everyone knew that it was Eleven who would be the only one to cheer him up. They all knew he loved her more than life itself and that he put her first, even before himself. She was taken from him three times now. Mike couldn't take it anymore.

While Nancy was hugging her brother, Rey came up to her friends. "Now that you guys are out of the lab, we have to fit you guys in with society. What I'm saying is, you can't go by numbers for names and you can't roam around wearing hospital gowns," she said.

"True," 007 said. "But what could our names even be?"

Rey shrugged. "I'm sure we can find names somewhere that you guys can like. I got my name from a movie and just changed the spelling a bit. Then I learned the full name. We can find names anywhere out here," she said.

The three used to be experiments exchanged interested looks with each other. They were curious on what the world outside the lab had to offer. They just hoped that it wouldn't be like the lab, full of torture and bad things happening.

"As long as my name isn't a fucking number that the bitch Brenner gave me, I'll be satisfied with my life," 009 said.

Rey couldn't help but chuckle at her. "Don't worry. No numbers out here except in math. Also, another experience I think you might like is school. It's where you learn about so many fascinating things that you've never known before. I've heard people complain that school was worthless, but it's really cool to me," she said.

007, 009, and 010 smiled at the mention of something cool. "That does sound great! I want to go!" 010 said.

"Me too!" 007 said.

"Uh, Same!" 009 said.

Rey nodded at them. "And you will once we get you guys settled in. We're going to have to find places for you guys to stay," she added. Then she turned to the others. "Anyone know where these guys can stay?" She asked them.

"I can take one of them in. I have one extra guest bedroom in my house that's never really been occupied," Joyce said.

Lucas then spoke up. "And someone can stay with me. My parents said that they were thinking about adopting another kid to stay in a extra room that has no use in my house," he said.

"And I have an extra room in my house someone can stay in. It's pretty lonely in the house with just me, my mom, and my cat," Dustin offered.

The experiments nodded. "I'll go with the curly haired guy with no teeth," 010 said.

Dustin gave him a look. "Hey! My pearls are growing in!" He said. Everyone couldn't help but chuckle at him.

"I'll go with the kid with the camouflage bandana," 007 said. Lucas nodded and smiled at her and she smiled back.

009 sighed. "I guess that means I'm going with that lady over there," she said. "But if this ends up being a trap, I'll be freezing your asses. We got a deal?" The Byers family nodded in response, promising that it wasn't a trap at all.

Nancy looked down at her brother, who was curled up in her lap. "You sure you don't want to go home?" She asked. Mike nodded, considering how he was still angry at his parents, especially his mother. "Okay. I have to admit that our parents aren't as good as Mrs. Byers is with Will and Jonathan. Heck, or even Steve with Dustin! So I also am not going back home either. I'll stay with you to make sure you're not alone, okay?" Nancy said. Mike nodded again, knowing that he needed his sister during this time of pain he was experiencing. He didn't care if he looked or sounded like a baby, he was too upset to care.

"I just want El," Mike mumbled.

Nancy rubbed his back and held him close. Mike squeezed her tight and cling to her, wanting comfort badly. After a few minutes, they stood up and made their way back to the cabin that Mike was in earlier. They went inside and took off there shoes and jackets and the boy put his backpack down by the couch.

But when they looked up, they saw Hopper by the small kitchen making food. The siblings looked a little confused and startled when they saw the chief. He turned around to face them and he put the food on the table.

"We need to talk kids."

...

Back at the lab, El was being carried into a small room. She kept on screaming to be let go and she screamed Mike's name. She couldn't be separated from him again, she just couldn't. She felt so alone without him with her, as he was the first person to ever make her feel like a whole person, unlike Papa and the other doctors.

Brenner put the girl down on a chair and restrained her. Eleven struggled to get out of the chair, but even her powers were no use against it. Every time she tried using her powers, she got shocked by some sort of electricity.

"LET ME GO! LET ME GO!" El screamed.

Dr. Brenner And Dr. Owens stood in front on her with their arms crossed and they had stern looks on their faces. Eleven couldn't help but be terrified at them.

"Don't be scared Eleven. We're helping you," Dr. Brenner said in a calm voice.

El started to cry. "Let me go! I need Mike! Mike Mike Mike!" She sobbed. She missed him so much and she only saw him for a few minutes before being recaptured by the doctors. She wanted to desperately call out to him through her mind and come to him, but she couldn't. The chair would shock her if she did. All she could do was cry and wait for him. She knew that he would cone back for her. Mike was always there for her and she was always there for him.

"We have someone here with us who we want to introduce you to. She's been waiting to meet you for a while now," Dr. Owens said.

The door opened and in came a girl El didn't know. She had short, dark hair with blue eyes and had very light skin. She was wearing a hospital gown and she had a serious look on her face. When El looked down at her arm, she saw what she could've expected.

"Eleven, meet Dylan, also known as 004."
