What is your username?
A. Joydom29
When did you join Wattpad? And for how long have you been writing (in general)?
A. For almost one year ( in wattpad ) 3 years out of wattpad
What can you tell us about the current story you’re working on? Tell us a little about the plot and the characters in it?
A. I'm currently working on 5 books. Yea, it's a hell lot of work for me. But the one I'm currently focusing on is a series, I've finished the first book named Caught, now I'm in the second which is Tamed. The main character finally gets out of the jail that trapped her all her life and now escaped in a hidden area full of rebels that want to take down the jail called the Compound. I don't wanna tell much about it since it's the second book.
Why do you think the readers should read your story (mention the factors which will be appealing to the readers)?
A. Well, I'm almost never cliche. Believe me I've tried to be cliche and all I ended up doing was hurting my head. I really like working alone, though I've co written with some people. I mainly do Sci Fi and Fantasy books and like to be creative as possible. I've also gotten a lot of good feedback from critics, my only major problem is grammar, which I am slowly fixing through editing with trusted people. As for the story itself, it has a lot of twists and turns that can shock, excite or make a reader cry! When I write I write with passion and emotion so it usually ends up making an emotional chapter.
Which is your favorite character, in the current story you are working on?
A. My favorite in Caught is White. As for The Makeshift Shifter it's MJ.
How many stories have you posted on Wattpad (excluding short stories)?
A. I've posted 10 stories by far, three more coming. It's supposed to be eleven but I deleted one.
Can you tell us about your other stories, any two other stories that you are working on?
A. Most of them are fantasy or sci fi. Makeshift Shifter is about a girl that lives in the Amazon with powers to shift into animals. She's been given a chance to enter a competition, the same competition where her mom went missing, and while entering she finds out a few little shocking secrets on where her mother is.
As for 365 Days, it's a rare occasion where I actually made a book that is not sci fi or fantasy, it's a teen fiction, romance about a girl and her best friend. Her best friend is Daniel Reese, which is also her boyfriend and childhood friend. He goes off to war while she has to sit there and wait for him to come back. While waiting she has a notebook given by him as a good bye present, it has exactly 365 pages, the exact number of days she has to wait for him to hopefully come back. So she tells her past memories through the notebook and shows it to the reader.
Do you offer critiques to other users? If you have offered a critique, mention that story?
A. Yes I have. I've been critiquing since my early days in wattpad. Gosh! There's so many that I don't know where to start. So I'll just be posting my most recent ones then.
You Feel Like Home - @madfam97
The Blade - @AlphaShadowWolf
Crooked Smiles and Cameras - @MonochromeLightning_
These are just a few of the many I've critiqued. I think I've critiqued at least 40 or so books.
Do you write for yourself or for the readers?
A. I write for myself. I started to write in wattpad simply for my friend and I when we decided I should write a story about a roleplay we were doing. I hated it to be honest. So I threw it away and worked on my own ideas and poof! I ended up getting myself so caught up in all the writing.
Describe yourself in ten words.
A. Artistic. Funny. Weird. Creative. Grumpy. Annoying. Silly. Impatient. Athletic. Geeky. ( yes I am both athletic and geeky, I'm weird that way )
