Interview with @Daveer

What is your username?

A. @Daveer

When did you join Wattpad? And for how long have you been writing (in general)?

A. October 16th of 2012. I've been writing for the better part of 9 years. Give or take a few.

What can you tell us about the current story you’re working on? Tell us a little about the plot and the characters in it?

A. Well, my story is called Into the Darkness. In it, we have a teenage boy (wait for it) who falls in - totally kidding. It's actually an Action, Mystery/thriller story with a bit of science fiction thrown in. Wolf is the main character. He was kidnapped as a younger boy by what he believes is the reigning drug lord of Mexico, El Jefe. His time there has changed him, leading him to become someone he never imagined he could be. As the story progresses, Wolf starts to realize that the people who he thought kidnapped him aren't exactly who he thought they were. So yeah.

Why do you think the readers should read your story (mention the factors which will be appealing to the readers)?

A. Well, I have a thing for unique plots. I sure as hell hope that readers believe my plot is unique as well. Also, I try to create characters that are realistic and easy to relate to. I'm trying to make it as exciting and suspenseful as possible. Oh! I also update regularly. :p

Which is your favorite character, in the current story you are working on?

A. I would have to go with Wolf. We are slowly starting to get a feel for who he is. He's not perfect, far from it, and he's a bad donkey (if you catch my drift). His abilities are awesome and his interactions with other people are so real.

How many stories have you posted on Wattpad (excluding short stories)?

A. Just two. Into the Darkness and Becoming.

Can you tell us about your other stories, any two other stories that you are working on?

A. Not really. Becoming is a sort of side project. I plan on really getting started on it once Into the Darkness is halfway finished.

Do you offer critiques to other users? If you have offered a critique, mention that story?

A. Yes, although I wouldn't be able to mention a specific example, seeing as how I've done many.

Do you write for yourself or for the readers?

A. More for myself I would think. This idea for Into the Darkness has been brewing in my head for the better part of three years. It feels breathtakingly good to write it down. Don't get me wrong, the fact that other people actually read my story . . . and like it, is amazing.

Describe yourself in ten words.

A. I dream of Batman, but Batman doesn't dream of me.
