What is your username?

A. JinxedBySummer

 

When did you join Wattpad? And for how long have you been writing (in general)?

A. About a year ago, but I didn’t start writing stories until a few months back and even then they were just fanfiction. I only recently started on a completely original fiction story.

 

What can you tell us about the current story you’re working on? Tell us a little about the plot and the characters in it?

A. The story I’m currently working on is called Secrets. It’s about two best friends called Gemma and Megan. Gemma has a crush on a boy called James and gets him to date her. However Gemma soon has to go away from the summer...leaving James with Megan. James and Megan start to have feeling for each other and they don’t know what to do about Gemma. Megan is also unsure whether to put her friendship or her secrets relationship first.

All the characters have personalities based off of their birth sign (e.g. Gemma is a Leo and therefore really confident) because Gemma and Megan are obsessed with Fate.

 

Why do you think the readers should read your story (mention the factors which will be appealing to the readers)?

A. I think people should read it because it’s a classic romance with a twist. I haven’t completely plotted it out yet so if readers comment they can play a part in deciding the final outcome of the story. As I mentioned earlier, Megan and Gemma are obsessed with Fate and horoscopes etc. and the story is sort of dictated by that. There is also a gay character (Rob) who I haven’t decided if I will give him a boyfriend yet but there will definitely boyxboy action.

 

Which is your favorite character, in the current story you are working on?

A. Probably Rob because I’ve never written a gay character and I want to put a lot of focus on him coming out to his extremely homophobic dad and all the issues that causes. Also I find him and extremely relatable character. Although I’m not gay myself, I do find myself left on the outside of any friendships.

 

How many stories have you posted on Wattpad (excluding short stories)?

A. I’ve posted six stories however only Influence and Secrets are not fan fiction.

 

Can you tell us about your other stories, any two other stories that you are working on?

A. I’m not sure if you want to include this question for me because all but one of my other stories are fan fictions. I’ll answer it but feel free to remove it from the chapter if you don’t want anything about fan fiction.

Bittersweet Memories is one of my fan fictions, and it’s about a teenager who lives in a care home after her parents can’t afford to look after her. The owner of the care home, Anne, has a son called Harry who happens to be in a band with Liam, Georgia’s ex-best friend. They hadn’t spoken since she went into the care home after being forced to cut all ties with each other. Georgia has to deal with her new found feelings towards Liam, that aren’t exactly platonic, and help Harry keep his and Louis’ relationship a secret.

Alive is another fan fiction of mine. It’s about a girl who was kept back a year in school after she failed to meet the grades needed to graduate. She still wants to keep her great social life but her mother has other ideas. Her mum puts Emily, a family friend in charge of keeping her out of trouble. But she just wants to party and when she sneaks out to a party she runs into a certain Niall Horan.

 

Do you offer critiques to other users? If you have offered a critique, mention that story?

A. Not really, however I would be happy to if anyone wanted me to.

 

Do you write for yourself or for the readers?

A. I always write for myself. Sometimes it’s nice just to get away from the world I’m living in and escape to a world where everything goes the way I want it to. That being said, quite often what’s happening in my real life quite often finds its way into my stories, so more than others. However I do listen if readers want the plot to go a certain way because I don’t want to upset any of them.
