What is your username?
A. DeepMagic
When did you join Wattpad? And for how long have you been writing (in general)?
A. I joined in September of 2013 and I have been writing for five years now, but I really picked up in this past one.
What can you tell us about the current story you’re working on? Tell us a little about the plot and the characters in it?
A. I am working on editing a Christian horror/romance novel that I hope to publish as soon as my fifth or sixth draft is done. It’s about a teenage girl who wishes to show her atheistic boyfriend that there is a God, and to do so, she takes her boyfriend to a haunted trail in the Rocky Mountains.
Why do you think the readers should read your story (mention the factors which will be appealing to the readers)?
A. I believe that readers will be able to fall in love with the main character because of her relatable problems and feelings. I also try to touch on issues of the human condition: jealousy, anger, unwarranted hatred, judgment, and love.
Which is your favorite character, in the current story you are working on?
A. My favorite character is the boyfriend, Holland. He is a very intellectual person who balances out Lucy’s energy with his mellow demeanor. He is sarcastic and cheeky to everyone, but he has a soft spot for Lucy, and it shows through his gentle approach to her struggles with empathy.
How many stories have you posted on Wattpad (excluding short stories)?
A. I have posted five stories on Wattpad, and have technically completed one, I just have to edit it.
Can you tell us about your other stories, any two other stories that you are working on?
A. Another novel I am working on is a dystopian novel set in Heaven. The idea of the story is thinking for oneself, the search of knowledge, and that not everyone with a pure heart has a happy ending. Currently those are the only two I am really working on, but I plan to start another one that I was inspired to write because of the X-Men.
Do you offer critiques to other users? If you have offered a critique, mention that story?
A. I critique every story I read and offer my help. I don’t know any titles by name because I focus more on the story.
Do you write for yourself or for the readers?
A. I write for both myself and my readers. I write to get the inner thoughts I dare not say in person out to the world, and to be able to make my readers think about their lives.
Describe yourself in ten words.
A. Ten words to describe me are: Empathetic, procrastinator, kind, compassionate, creative, strong, different, understanding, timid, insecure.
