"Watch your steps, we don't want him to be triggered. Kailangan nating maging maingat at hanggat maari, minimize all the sound." sabi ng isa sa mga pulis na nasa tabi ko.
"Copy" said the police behind me.
Never in my life have I imagine doing this, sneaking into someone's house. Well, technically it's abandoned but it's still a house. Maihahantulad na sa yapak ng pusa yung mga hakbang namin sa sobrang pag iingat.
Kumbaga sa movie, mga agents kami na may mission na patayin ang isa sa mga most wanted criminals sa bahay nila. But no, it's not a movie. It's all real, the silentness, the gun tuck on my side, the police beside me and Karla being kidnapped.
If it's in the jungle, we're like lions hunting for it's prey. Crawling under the tall grass, being careful not to be seen or heard by the target.
The police warned me that this operation may cause a life or two but I'm not scared. Hindi ako takot kung maraming kasama si Henry sa loob. Ang tanging nasa isip ko lang ay maigligtas si Karla.
"Move, move! " the officer commanded.
"Miss Hermosa, stay by my side. We want you unharmed."
"Kaya ko sarili ko"
"Pero hindi mo sila kaya" the police turn back. "Stay behind me and watch your steps" tapos ipinagpatuloy nya ang paglalakad.
Pumunta kami sa living room, yung iba pumunta sa kani kanilang pwesto para icheck ang buong bahay.
"2nd floor is clear sir" I heard his speaker said.
"Kitchen and dining area is clear sir" another one reported.
"How about the garage? May nagcheck naba dun?" tanong nya habang hawak yung speaker na nakatutok sa phone nya.
Ako naman, pawis na pawis mula ulo hanggang paa. Parang mapipiga na sa sobrang pawis dala ng kaba at takot ay kailangang manatiling alerto dahil nandito kami sa lugar ng kalaban. This house looks new but old at the same time. It was abandoned for some reason that I don't want to know since it can become a warzone anytime soon. I keep my consciousness on high level, feeling everything around me can either kill me or help me find Karla.
"Come in sir, may nakikita po akong gumagalaw sa garage. I think sya yung irerescue natin. She's tied on a chair but Henry is no where to be seen. Should I make an action? " I heard one of the police said.
"No! Stay where you at. Siguradong gusto nya tayong pumasok, We're on our way"
"Copy that sir" the other man on the line answered
" Karla has been found. Mag isa daw sya sa garahe." the cheaf informed the other behind me.
"What do we do now? " tanong ko. Hindi naman sa pagmamadali pero limited lang yung time namin para maisalba si Karla. The veins must be popping on my neck right now from the anticipation to get Karla out of here. One of the police must've notice my uneasiness kaya hinawakan nya yung balikat ko. Tumingin ako sa kanya at nakita syang tumango bago tumingin ulit sa kanyang mga kasama.
"We need a plan" the officer in charge said.

"All officer, in position" I heard the device said. Nandito na kami sa harapan ng garahe. We planned everything very well. We just hope the situation go according to it. We had all the men in position. Kaming dalawa ng cheaf ang papasok .
"Wait for my signal" the cheaf commanded over the speaker.
Naglakad na kami papunta sa pintuan ng garahe. I twisted the knob and opened the door slowly. Being careful and aware of any sound that can be heard.
