Chapter 27

Lauren

The feeling where you just want to be buried under the ground and hide there until every bit of your problems solves their own. That's what I'm feeling right now. Sky just told me that they were on their way here and I was stunned when she remembered the day she called me when I was in the infirmary. She would like to meet that 'Friend' I was with.  At hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa alam kung anong gagawin ko.  Hindi ko pa nga nasabi na si Karla yung taong yun e, dahil alam ko na kapag nalaman nya na si Karla nga yung sinmahan ko ay sigurado na may gulo. I'm not up for trouble, but the trouble seems to chase me. I could try to run but it would be useless. But who's to blame? Me and the destiny. Yup, I blame the destiny for putting Karla into my life again. But it's destiny nonetheless. Wala na akong magagawa. I just have to go with the flow. Still believing that it's just a phase and I will overcome it eventually. I just wish that eventually is soon.

I sat on the bed with Lucy, it's Saturday. Tinawagan ko sya para humingi ng tulong mamaya.  Eating whatever is on my fridge. Sometimes I wander how can she have big appetites for a petite girl. Pero sya si Lucy e. Hindi na rin ako nagugulat sa mga kayang nyang gawin.

"So, susunduin mo ba sya? " tanong ni Lucy habang kumakain ng mansanas.

I shooked my head "She said they booked a cab, kaya hindi na sya nagpapasundo. I'll go see her later though" I answered honestly. 

"Isasama mo si Karla? "

I shot her a look "No! Of course not." I exclaimed.  I don't want to risk anything at the moment.  Baka makalimutan nya rin naman about dun kay Karla.

"If I were you, I'd explain everything from where Karla appeared to the present and hope she'll understand." she suggested. 

"It's not that easy"

"That's why I'm glad I'm not you" we both heave the deepest sigh before we look at each.

Ipinagpatuloy nyang kainin yung mansanas, habang ako naman nag anatay ng tawag ni Sky.

Couples of minute past but no one utter a word.  Dahilan para makapag isip pa ako ng idadahilan ko ka Sky mamaya. 

"Lauren" napalingon ako kay Lucy, knowing that something's up with her base on her facial features.

I just raised an eyebrow, signing that I'm listening.

"Bakit ba hirap na hirap ka na sabihin na si Karla yung sinamahan mo sa infirmary?"

I don't know kung bakit nya itinatanong to ngayon.  But I have the guts that she's into something.

"Sky knows everything about our past. Diba nga sinabi ko sa kanya lahat lahat.  As in lahat."

"And you think she'll get mad? "

"Uh yeah?  She have the rights to. Pero ayoko naman ng umabot sa ganun. Kaya nga tinawagan kita para tulungan akong humanap ng paraan." I said, adjusting my position.

Itinapon nya yung natira nyang mga buto ng mansanas sa bahurahan sa gilid ng table ko bago sya umupo sa tabi ko. She look at me straight in the eye before smiling which I found definitely wierd. 

"Is that all? " she asked promptly

"Anong ibig mong sabihin? Hindi kita maintindihan ."

Sa totoo lang talaga, hindi ko sya maintindihan. Kung anong gusto nyang ipalabas. 

"We know she'll get mad. Normal na yun kasi nga, kagaya ng sabi mo.  Alam nya lahat ng tungkol sa inyo ni Karla.  Pero sa tingin ko hindi lang yun ang dahilan kung bakit hirap kang sabihin kay Sky yung tungkol sa doon" she said before she propped down into my pillow and facing the ceiling.
