Chapter 13

Lauren

"Good morning Miss Hermosa" sabi ng Principal.

I looked at Karla. Her head is down as if she did something wrong.

"Good morning" bati ko sa Principal.

I'm getting more nervous, not just Karla is here but it's my first time in the office. I have not been called before.

My hands is starting to get sweaty. I swallowed hard. My throat has gone dry.

"Please take a sit" the principal said, motioning her hand to the chair. I did. I sat in front of Karla. She's sitting on the other side. Still head down.

"Why do you think I called you here?" Tanong ng principal.

"I honestly don't know" I answered, my voice is shaking.

She sighed "Lauren" she called be by my first name which I took as a bad sign. My back is stiffed, my hands playing with the rim of my hoodie.

"Yes Ma'am" I said.

"I knew you're going to deny it" she said.

"Deny what? Did I do something wrong?" I asked.

Nagsisimula na akong maghinala kay Karla. Nakatingin na sya sa akin ngayon. She's looking at me emotionless.

"May nakapagsabi sa akin na sinubukan mo daw saktan si Miss Karla Rosales kahapon." Sabi ng Principal.

Nasaktan ko sya, but that's not even enough para mapatawag ako. The only pain I cause was when I gripped her hand a little more tight. I also used harsh words. Pero hindi naman sya nagreact kahapon . Ngayon pa ba sya magrereact?

"Is that true?" Sabi ng Principal.

"Yeah, but that's a pety pain. Only a ......"

"So it's true" I was cutted off.

" it's true that you tried to pushed Karla down the stairs kaya sya may sugat sa tuhod? "

Wait what!?

"What!? Who tol.."

"Please don't lie Lauren" Karla interrupted. I was cutted of again.  I looked a her.  Shooked!

"Anong sinasabi mo!?" sigaw ko sa kanya.  "What the fuck are you talking about!? Karla!? "

The Principal slammed her hand on the table "Ms. Hermosa,  we don't use that kind of  language here!" she said not looking forward.

"But Ma'am, I didn't do that, nadapa kami kaya sya nasugatan!" sinubukan ko magpaliwanag. 

"Please sit down Ms. Hermosa, I already contacted your parents. Your father is on his way"

"What!? " I sat down.  "Bakit nyo pinapunta si Daddy? You should've ask me first. This is just a small matter.  Madadaan naman to sa usapan"

"I don't think so Ms. Hermosa, sa ipinapakita mo ngayon sa tingin ko hindi madadaan to sa usapan"

I groaned. Tumingin sya kay Karla "As for you Ms. Rosales, I also called your uncle" nakita ko nagulat si Karla. Nanlaki ang mga mata nya. 

"What did he say? Is he coming?"

"Yes, and sa tingin ko malapit na sya"

And she's right, in less than a minute may kumatok sa pinto.

"Come in" sabi ng Principal.

Pumasok si Daddy, and after him was a man in a suit who I assumed as Karla's uncle.
