It had been a few days in the barracks, we lived there for a while to get used to it. I hadn't talked to many people, but for those I did, we bonded rather quickly.
Other than my sister and Taiyo, I made three friends. One was a girl with pink hair tied back into a ponytail, she wore a maid's outfit and seemed to enjoy wearing it. She was one of the few with us who missed her master. Oh, her name was Farie. She was rather short in height, and was a year or so older than me.
Another's name was Joker. He wasn't much older than me, and had Silver hair that was rather long for a boy's. His blue eyes lit up his face, and he was from the same master as Farie. The two had a similar situation as me and Adaliz, their master refused to give them away, so they got killed. Both Joker and Farie used shurikens, And seemed to have experience with it. Joker was a little bit taller than me, rather tall in my opinion.
The last friend of mine had the name of Gordin. He had short, pastel green hair and didn't wear a suit, or a nice shirt. He seemed to favor commoner clothes instead of the normal servant's clothes. He wore a dark green shirt and kaki colored shorts, along with boots that almost came to his knees. Gordin practiced everyday with a forest green bow, he was agile because of his younger age, he had a small body and was thin, but a quick type of thin, not clumsy.
We all practiced together, and for some reason, Jay would help us. The blue-haired-birdie seemed to support us five. And Taiyo helped too, of course.

We were practicing, and suddenly realized, this was the first day that battles were going to happen.
"Heya! Tall people! Aren't we supposed to be battling later today?" Gordin asked, as we all came into a small circle of seven in the middle of the training ground.
"Sadly, I believe so, we will have to fight and kill fellow servants starting today. We are all friends, but we are all enemies," Farie commented, a sorrow look upon her face. She didn't seem to enjoy killing people at all, but she told me before that if it gave her any chance of seeing her master, Kaumi, again, she'd try her hardest to progress through the tournament.
"I wish for us all to believe that we won't have to fight each other until the end, I would hate to believe that I have to hurt any of you four," Joker started, and wrapped an arm around Farie, "Especially you, Farie." Joker was a kind guy, simple, and he seemed to enjoy the company of others. He wasn't shy, but didn't go out of his way for attention. He was calm and collected, and an all around cool person.
Someone walked into the training grounds. He was a tougher looking man with dark blonde hair. He called Jay over to him and said something quietly to him. Jay nodded and walked to us, "Tarron has just informed me that we are allowed to make alliances of five, six or seven including leaders that will be outside of the tournament. Me and Taiyo could be the leaders, and you five could be on the team. Basically, the purpose of the alliances is that if two members of the alliance fight, the remaining four will not have to fight each other unless they make it to the end, that also means, if all five of you make it to the end without having to fight one another, four of you get to make it out alive," Jay explained, we all exchanged glances and nodded. We were about to discuss it, when Jay continued talking, and all twelve eyes returned to him, "I've also gotten report that the first battle is starting soon.
"Farie, someone else with your surname of Machen is in the battle. Fueo Machen."
