"Alright!" Phoenix gives a little leap and clears his throat in an official sort of manner before beginning, his breath releasing new frosts to the air.
"How sheen your scales of blue,
No one says to you,
'Go! Shoo!'
For your beauty is overwhelming,
Creating a gasp from our hearts,
As we wish you never to fall apart,
Everywhere you go,
You leave behind a mark,
A great legacy,
Each flower you visit,
You leave more luscious and healthy,
Those hidden specks in the black lining of your wings,
Remind all of the embers inside,
How the sun reflects off your form,
How your sleek agile body knows how to survive,
How you dominate your species,
How your tongue is so beautifully curled,
In a perfect spiral.

Master the currents,
Prepare for any adventure,
Fight to live.
The beauty of you,
It never fails,
As wings are your sails,
Everlasting and unable to grow dull,
You twist and swerve between perils,
Test the grip of Death,
Find the rarest treasures,
See the tiniest gifts,
Taste the succulent flower,
In the secret meadow.
Silent and stealthy,
Feet leaving behind no print,
Yet in the memory,
Of the child on whom you once landed,
That will be everlasting,
More so than your crafted and masterful wings.
Oh Morpho Menelaus,
You defeat the shine of the oceans,
The hues of the sky,
And we all watch frozen,
As you flutter by." He finishes the piece and it is not simply the words but the way he says it all that sets a firm building block of amazement in my heart.
"That was beautiful!" I exclaim and he chuckles, as though recalling old memories of peaceful days.
"Want another?" He asks and I nod my head vigorously.
"The sprout was lush and delicate,

Vibrant its colour glows,
