The sounds of excited chatting escaped under the door and into Eve's bedroom. Her plans today was to sleep in late and to get a mission later on, and that was what was going to happen. Or so she thought. The noises from outside the door were impossible to sleep through as she turned on her back to stare up at the ceiling. With an annoyed huff, she left her bed, a lot earlier than what she had wanted.
She quickly changed into her usual hunting gear, seeing as she wasn't about to stay back to watch a guest come and go. Her jumpsuit cut off high up on her thighs, drops of blood still decorated parts of the cloth. To protect her legs she wore thigh high boots, with no heels of course. With my weapons into place, She grabbed her cloak, which reached her ankles and with a handy hood to go with it.
'Dressed like a shadow'
A knock sounded on her door as she was tightening the belt on her coat, Knox head with his long hair in a bun popping in with an excited smile on his lips.
"Ready?" He asked, already knowing Eve would be off to the mission board as if reading her mind.
Not coming as a surprise, Knox, as the young hunter who the past few months had been growing like a weed, could be found by Eve's side like a dog on a leach by all times. He had also grown to be the only being in Eve's life at the moment who she didn't want to kill.
Yet.
And maybe she had a little respect for the guy as well, a young hunter alone in the world, making the best of the situation.
Eve grabbed the last of her weapons, a gun which she hid in her boot and just brushed past Knox on her way out, giving him a weak nod before they began to walk towards where the mission e-board was located.
People were still running around, getting ready for the visitor to arrive, if they hadn't arrived already.
"What about this one?" Knox pointed to one of the missions on the never-ending list in front of us.
"Let me see." Eve tapped on the mission to inspect the mission details.
The Silver Blood pack
Accused of killing multiple humans near the border of their territory, but not ON their territory on several different occasions.
Therefore their actions have no ground in the laws and have been sentenced to death.
32 members in total
Alpha: Collin
Beta: Steve
All to be killed.
Prize: 10 000$
There were additional details about their crime and quotation of the law to justify the sentence drawn upon their heads.
"I'll take it." Eve declared, satisfied with the number of kills she would have to make in one turn. After all, for her hunting was also for the surge of adrenalin, the feeling of being alive.
"Great." Knox eagerly assigned the mission to Eve, glad he for once could be of help to her.
"Before you go, can I show you something?"
As soon as Eve nodded her head, Knox quickly grabbed a hold of her hand and dragged her in the direction of the great hall, where the Hunter's Association's leaders were meeting with an unusual guest.
Knox led Eve past the entrance to the Great Hall and into one of the 'Alleys' this old house possessed. A simple wardrobe occupying the space. Knox let go of Eve's hand and stepped forward, opening the wardrobe, its hinges screaming in protest at the motion.
