Three large wolfs had been tracking her for quite some time, always staying in the shadows. Out of sight and without a single sound.
As she stood in the tree line near the Silver Blood pack's main house, she could still feel them near, lurking in the shadows deep in the forest behind her.
Light streamed from the windows of the pack house, the shadows of the people inside dancing on the dark ground, only accompanied by the light of the half moon hanging on the sky.
She rolled up the sleeve on her right hand, exposing her inked skin, most of the motives seeming to almost jump out of the pale surface. With one elegant movement over one of the tattoos, followed by pressing her middle finger down on it, her sharp nails almost drawing blood, smoke gathered as she lifted her finger away.
Instead of dissolving like smoke usually does, it shaped itself, into a small glass capsule, a dark red liquid inside.
As soon as the lid of the glass capsule was opened, the contents swiftly rose up into a fine line, injecting itself into her arm like a tube of blood. Eve sighed in content, closing her eyes as she felt new power emerging into her veins. She was ready for a fight.
Opening her eyes again, she dropped the glass capsule which turned to ash before it even met the ground. Looking onto the field where the pack house stood like a beacon of light. With a quick survey of the area, she noticed three wolfs patrolling the area. One by the door and two circling around the house.
In the middle of the open field was also an old oak tree, which the two wolfs walking around passed regularly.
Swiftly Eve moved with the shadows. Running across the open space between the three and the forest in an inhuman speed, jumping into the tree without a single sound.
She positioned herself in the branches, crouching down on a thick one, drawing out yet another item from her collection of ink on her arm. This time a jagged dagger.
The three guards continued as they had been all night, not noticing the shadow who had just crept across a patch of open field and into the large oak tree.
As one of the wolfs passed under the branch she was resting on, she jumped down from the hiding place, the dagger in her hands, cast downwards, and as she landed on the wolfs back the dagger sunk into its neck. Before the wolf could fall to the ground, Eve retracted the dagger from its neck, quickly bringing the dagger around, slicing the wolfs throat.
Somehow she managed to drag the huge wolf behind the tree, without being noticed and completely out of sight for the other two, although one of them would pass by the tree soon enough.
The second wolf came, he quickly caught the scent of its comrade and maybe most importantly he smelled the hint of iron in the air.
As the wolf put his snout in the grass where a few drops of blood had fallen from the previous wolf, Eve snuck up behind him from her hideout behind the huge treetrunk.
The dagger from before still had drops of blood running down the blade as she got ready to attack.
The wolf's throat was sliced quicker than the previous one.

Eve stepped out of the house, drying some blood off her cheek with her sleeve. Despite not having gone up against this large of a pack before, single-handedly, her own injuries were minimal.
Her boots left bloody footprints on the ground, but the blood was not of her own.
She reached yet again for her sleeve, rolling it up for the third time tonight. All her energy had gone into the fight, more than she had expected too. One more capsule of blood would give her the strength she needed to get back to the Hunter's Association.
