Previously in The Magi Hunter:
"Don't you dare." I looked at him with like I was ready to kill him, but he only smiled back at me.
"Oh, but I do, love."
Connor went over to my feet binding each foot to separate sides of the bed, then doing the same to my hands, so I now was laying on the bed in an X form.
Hailen got off me, but not walking away from the bed.
"Just go tell them I'm coming, I'll be right behind you Connor." Hailen's eyes were looking me straight in the eye, but he compared to me looked calm.
His hand cupped my cheek, before without a word walking out of the room and locking the door behind him.
I could hear him walking away, and I was alone.
~
The room felt bigger the moment he walked out that door, and it felt like my heart was dragging towards where he just had walked out. I closed my eyes when I realized that the pulling feeling where not to kill him, but just to have a little revenge on him, and in some weird way it seemed that no matter how hard I tried, I could not even imagine me killing him.

The ropes around my hands and feet began to hurt, telling me that if I did not get out of them, they would continue to try to get to my flesh every single time I moved.
Taking my chances I looked around the room, looking for anything that might help me. Because I could simply not just stay like this until he came back, although that was what my mind wanted me to do. First there was the fact that the ropes were currently eating on my skin, secondly was my position. If anyone had seen me now, it would look kind of... kinky.

The room was huge, and there were some objects I could have used for cutting these ropes scattered around, but too far away. And that counted a huge amount of knifes.

The room was not lighted up, and just some few streams of light came in through some of the many floor to rood windows, keeping most of the room in the dark. A single stream of light hit the bed by my right hand, and that's when I saw it.
A part of a knife was sticking out under the pillow, almost hidden from sight. I must say, that one simple thing did seem familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Reaching out with my fingers, trying not to hurt my arm in the process, I finally managed to get a hold of the knife and quickly cut myself loose from the bed.
Without wasting any time checking my hands and feet for injuries, I walked soundlessly over to the heavy double door Hailen just walked out of. To my surprise the door was open, and I carefully walked through it.

What met me was a huge living room, decorated like in a castle. The same style as in the bedroom, where everything was huge, and something you thought you would only get to see in princess movies.
The room was like looking at old time meeting new time, with a huge TV, a comfy looking sofa and some kind of bar. There was also some kind of arcade game in one of the corners, looking like an original from its own time. Very boy-ish.

For a normal human being this would be a very large apartment, with the size of this living room and the bedroom.

The room had a whole wall only of windows and in the middle a glass door, leading out to a balcony. I quickly walked over to the door, hoping from the bottom of my heart that it was open. I could always jump down from the balcony, if the blood still worked.
I tore in the handle of the door with full force, but this one as well, was locked.
This guy knows what he is doing. No holes in my "prison" yet.

Turning around from the glass door, I looked around the living room. As well as in the bedroom there were 3 other doors, one that stood open, the other two was closed. I walked over to the ones who were closed shut. Pulling as hard as I could on the huge doors, there were still no movement. Locked. Again.

Out of curiosity, and maybe a bit boredom, I walked over to it the open door, which I hardly believed led out of this "bed chamber".
The room looked like a normal high class office. With a desk, some book shelves, two sofas facing each other in front of the desk, and of course a painting behind the desk. So if you would be sitting behind the desk, you would see the huge painting as well.
The realization of the fact that I were in a werewolf's office gave me an idea. Maybe there were something in here that could give me some information about other packs and rogues in the area. You never know when to get used to some information like that in my profession.
I sat down behind the desk, diving right down into the drawers.
I went through some of the stuff, but none caught my attention, so I quickly moved over to the book shelves.

There were books upon books, all in different topics. Some I had seen or read before, other completely unknown to my ears.
On one of the largest shelves, there was something else than books though. Pictures. All of people with big smiles and what seemed to look like the same boy in different ages. Hailen.

One of them caught my attention specifically.
Hailen was of course in it, smiling in between two men. All of them looking very familiar with each other. My eyes were glued on the man to the left though. With his warm smile he almost never showed, which made the wrinkles by his eyes come to light. His sparkling eyes, full of life, just like my own when I had been younger. He looked happy on the outside, but I knew my father well enough to know that it all was just a facade.
