(A.N. The pictures above are meant to be Naomi and Roman in this chapter when they're 7 and 8. The girl's pic is off Google, but that cutie on the right in case y'all haven't guessed it, is baby Bill Skårsgard! He's so freakin cute I nearly cried 😂)
(All the other chapters are in Naomi's point of view) x

Naomi Leon was a small girl with fair skin, dark wavy long hair and big bright blue/green eyes with long dark lashes. Every Thursday after preschool, her mother would drop her round her friend Roman Godfrey's house. He was a year older, 8 and could be bossy but never mean, with blonde hair and big green eyes with fair skin. They'd become friends since they were 4 and 5 at another kid's birthday party. They went to different schools though. Naomi never understood why though.

"See you soon baby, I'll be back in an hour, and please don't forget your please and thank you's."
Naomi's mother warned her with a stern glare as she headed to the front door of the giant Godfrey mansion. She would always tell Naomi this as Naomi would often forget, earning disapproving looks from Olivia, Roman's mum.

She nodded her head and turned to Olivia stood in a neat, stainless dress overpowering her small frame.
"Roman's in his room, oh and do take those scruffy shoes off dear, it makes an awful mess of the carpet."
Once Naomi's shoes were off, she sprinted up the giant, cold steps leading upstairs. Roman and Naomi were each others only friends so looked forward to their time together. But Olivia never let Roman round her house, but Naomi was too young to realise it was because they didn't live as richly as the Godfrey's.

Once Naomi had reached the outside of Roman's door, she shoved it open with a,
"BOO!"
Making Roman jump up from his carpet and then burst into hysterics.
"I'll only get you back you know."
Roman smirked. Naomi crossed her arms across her small chest and made strong eye contact,
"Well now I'll be prepared as you've just told me."
Then the two continued to play with Roman's expensive toys he'd always end up breaking and jumping on his huge bed. As their pillow fight started, Olivia burst into the room making the two kids jump and stand completely still.
"Which one of you broke the lampshade in the hallway?"
Both children were quiet and looked at each other. Olivia's patience was thinning with every second she stood there, her brown eyes burning holes into them.
"It was Naomi."
Roman said pointing at Naomi who stood smaller than him under his pointing finger. All Naomi did was freeze, she was just scared of Olivia so she stayed quiet but couldn't understand why Roman had blamed her like that. He'd never done it before.

Olivia stepped a few feet closer to Naomi and knelt down in front of her with a scowl that made Naomi feel there was icicles starting to grow in her stomach. Olivia fixed her eyes to Naomi's and slapped her across the face making Roman jump slightly and Naomi's eyes water.
"I wanna go home now please?"
Is all she managed to say as Olivia stood up and straightened her dress.
"I was just going to tell you that, there's no way I'm letting a child break things in my house. Quickly. Get your shoes on and wait for me by the door."
She spoke sharply, and Naomi left the room, looking back at Roman from the doorway as Olivia walked over to him. He was looking at her too and still had a shocked expression on his small face. That was the last time Naomi went to the Godfrey house.
