After the coffee Roman drove us back to school and we parted for class. When I saw him later, he wasn't with his usual friends, he was with a new looking guy, Peter Rumancek I think his name was. The next day I had a weird feeling something was wrong. The weather had changed, it was now cold and rainy. I flung on a sky blue, cropped camisole that you lace up at the front, black high waisted, lace up skinny jeans and my black leather high top Doc Martens. I then applied black eyeliner in upward flicks, a pinky/red eyeshadow, dark red lipstick and finished with shaping my brows. I wore my medium hoop earrings and helix hoop piercing and left loose waves in my hair like yesterday. I grabbed my bag, grabbing an apple before leaving.

Once I got to school I nervously parked my car beside what I now knew was Roman's car, hoping he'd at least wait to do his business later, but preferably not at all in case anyone else sees. I walked through the gates and saw everyone looking solemn or crying, people comforting each other. I walked through the halls and there were more and more people like that. I then saw Shelley walking past the toilets.
"Hey, I don't know if you remember-"
I began but was cut off by Shelley hugging me tightly picking me up. She put me down and began typing hurriedly.
"Roman told me last night you were back but forgot to ask why you left in the first place."
I felt that anger I'd felt when mum had told me we were moving came back,
"I know, it's complicated. Tell Roman this too, Mum couldn't afford the house and stuff and just told me during school break we were moving. Now we can afford to live good again, she moved us back."
She nodded then began to type again.
"I've missed you. Did you hear about what happened late last night?"
My stomach got that uneasy feeling again. I gave a confused look shaking my head.
"Two girls from our school were killed. Apparently it was an animal attack."
I gasped covering my mouth in shock then seeing a tear fall from Shelley's face I quickly pulled her in for a hug. I then pulled away and tucked some loose hair behind her ear and smiled at her making her skin glow a little blue.
"That's beautiful. Your skin."
My eyes widened as I'd never seen anything like it before.
"It's embarrassing."
She typed. I shook my head.
"Believe me. For one thing I don't lie."
She smiled and waved as the bell went and we split for class.

After my first few periods, it was lunch. I trailed the halls looking for Shelley. Damn I really need to start getting people's numbers. I approached Roman at the end of the hall glancing at a few groups of crying people, mainly girls, then rolling his eyes and speeding up his pace to get away from them. Then his eyes caught mine and he slowed down, trying to act cool by tucking his hands into his pockets and walking over in a steady pace with a grin. I smiled back as I walked the way to be in front of him. We stopped and he began checking me out again. I rolled my eyes, pulling my jacket round me more, to hint I have eyes and could see where his eyes went and lingered.
"Thank god, you must be the only girl I've seen not crying this morning."
"I don't see you crying either Godfrey."
I said blankly.
"I've had enough of fucking crying girls today."
"Weren't in the mood for taking advantage of them?"
I said trying to hide a smirk. He chuckled, running a hand through his hair.
"Oh Naomi. Do you really think I'm that heartless?"
I eyed him up and shrugged.
"Hmm.. Well I'll just have to see won't I?"
This made him grin and I flashed a quick smile before heading into my class a few feet away. Through class I couldn't help but feel a strange feeling from when Roman said my name. It had been so long and now he said it as a full grown teenager, it felt strange. I liked it. After school had finished I got into my car and jumped when I heard knocking on my window.
I rolled my eyes putting the window down and chuckling seeing who it was.
"Roman."
I gave a breathy chuckle. He was so tall he was bent almost in half to talk to me through the window. He laughed slightly before asking,
"You jump a lot don't you? You going to the dance tomorrow night?"
I bit my lip in thought. I'd forgotten the announcement telling us about it today.
"No. School dances aren't my scene."
I replied kinda bluntly, thinking about the whole cliché scene. Roman frowned a little.
"Are you?"
I asked so there was something filling the silence.
"Have a reputation to uphold."
He winked with his same cocky smirk retrieving him. I rolled my eyes,
"Mmm, course."
Is all I muttered.
"That and I'm picking up Letha."
I frowned and my heart raced a little without realising it.
"Wait. I thought you were just a fuckboy? Fuckboys don't have relationships do they?"
I frowned awaiting a response whilst Roman laughed.
"Remember Letha. From my story yesterday?"
He smirked as my eyebrows shot up.
"The slut?!"
This made him laugh even more. I didn't think it was funny, why would he want to go with that slut who disappeared?
"Letha's my cousin."
He finally said with a smirk. I was confused, then remembering the story I remembered him saying who Letha was. Oh shit now I looked like an idiot. I brushed it off and gave a small laugh.
"Oh right, your cousin. Yeah I remember."
He leaned his head through the window a little more and mumbled close to my ear,
"It's ok princess, I'm all yours."
Before slowly standing up straight and walking round to his car to leave. I kinda sat there frozen. Did I like him? Did I like Roman? There's no way. I kept thinking till Roman's car horn beeped making me jump as he pulled out winking at me before driving off.
