Riley's POV
I watch Josh come in. His eyes skim the store until he see's me. He starts walking over. He grabs my arm.
"Thought you could get away that fast, huh? To bad, your coming with me!" I could smell the alchohol on his breath, and I realize he's probaly drunk. He starts yanking on my arm.
"Let me go." I tell him. He doesn't release his grip. Eldon stands up.
"Hey, leave her alone, okay?" He says. I glance a James who wouldn't even look up from his phone as this was going on.
"Oh, are you the one that she tried to break up with me for?" He says, eyeing Eldon.
"What? No." Eldon says. James was still not doing anything.
"Whatever. Come on." He starts dragging me out of Culture Shock. Before he drags me through the door, I look back, just as James lifts his head and he watches me as Josh hauls me out of the store.
James POV
I should have said something. I should have done something other than watched him take her again. Now, she probaly thinks I'm an even bigger jerk, and she'll never take me back if she manages to get away from that idiot again.
"What was that all about?" West asks me. I shake my head. I really wasn't in the mood to explain.
"It's nothing, just stay out of it, okay?" I tell everyone, and I get up. I walk outside.
Riley was in Josh's car with him. I watched as he screamed and cursed at her. She had her face in her hands, crying. She lifted her head up, and he slapped her and screamed some more. She looked at me, glared, and started crying again as Josh drove away. I take out my phone and text her.
JAMES-Are you alright Riles?
Riley-Oh so now you care? Never speak to me again you jerk!!
JAMES-I know I'm a jerk, I'm sorry!
She doesn't reply after that. I get in the car and drive to Josh's apartment. I knock on the door. Josh answered the door.
"What do you want?" He growls at me.
"Is Riley here?" I ask. Riley appears in the doorway and glares at me.
"Riley! Who is this guy?!" Josh yells at her.
"Um..."
"Who is he?!" He yells even louder.
"Josh it's no big deal. He's just someone from dance." Josh slams the door shut. I hear him start hitting her, and I hear Riley screaming.
"Your mine!" He yells at her. "You hear me? Your mine! Don't forget that!"
This is all my fault.
