Riley's POV

I keep my head held high as I walk I'm through the front door. Emily walks into the kitchen as I walk up to my ro.

When I close the door is when I let my walls down, and the tears come.

I throw myself onto the bed, rocking back and forth.

"Riley! Supper!" Mom calls out.

"I already ate!" I lie. It came out in a hoarse, choked voice that almost sounded like a croak.

Immediatly, I hear the sound of footsteps coming up with stairs, heading towards my room. I try to calm myself down.

"Emily told me about James." Mom says a softly as she sticks her head in. "Are you okay honey?"

I put on a brave face and smile and nod. But than I feel my smile begin to fade and the tears come back as I shake my head. I hug my knees to my chest and bury my face and sob.

Mom sits on the edge of the bed, and puts her arm around me.

"I'm not okay." I sob. She hugs me closer.

"I know sweetie, I know." She soothes.

"He said he loved me, and that he would wait forever for me, and that he'll always love me and..." I trail of as I cry harder.

"I know sweetheart." She says calmly.

"I want to die! Just die!" I cry.

"You don't mean that." She says.

"Yes I do!" I pout like a little child.

"It will get better honey. I promise." She tells me.

"I just want...I don't know what I want." I say, shaking my head.

"You want James." She says. I nod sadly.

"I do." I sob. "I love him, but he doesn't love me."

"Honey, he loves you. I know he does." She tells me.

"Than why would he break up with me?" I ask. She sighs.

"I don't know dear. But I do know that everything is going to be okay."

"You don't know that." I cry.
